I explain to my students through the question, : "What do actors and actresses really do?" Answer: "They make their money pretending to be someone, who they are not." These individuals have absolutely no greater knowledge of the world, politics, the economy, etc... Of course, the world can stumble upon an exception, but in general.... I am far from impressed.
