Nobody has any business being 300+ lbs, much less in their 40s or older. I swear I saw this coming. Found out he was having problems last year and continued training and taking shit against his doctor’s orders.

Man this is happening more and more and I gotta believe gear has something to do with this even though I want to blame it on something else. I’m just a shade older than this guy and I’m thinking more and more about making better choices. I pray we see less of these guys leaving so young.

One of the most aesthetic physicists in bodybuilding is gone!
We're all going to die one day, whether young or old doesn't matter. Only the legacy matters!

Lotta truth in that.
The early death aside here; it was explained to me, by an endocrinologist, that AAS are not where the dangers lie. These top BBs that are checking out, way too early, are taking a plethora of other, much more harmful, drugs... Diuretics, insulins and whatever else is on their menu. Now, I believe that this doctor wasn't greenlighting UGL AAS, but he was only talking about their stability / safety, as opposed to the other drugs which BBs take.
We are all rolling the dice, and not only with the "questionable" chemicals which most of us are putting in our bodies.
I love how we talk about how, "the body is the temple..., and I would never eat McDonalds; I wouldn't put that poison in body..." And yet we ingest and inject stuff like crazy... Kind of ironic...
Anyways, 44 is way too young, I guess. But, we all have a date with destiny, somewhere in the game. His just happened to be now.
Davi mentioned that "legacy matters...", but I wonder if this is really true, and for how long. I am, like most of us here, just nobody. In one or two generations, nobody will ever remember me. Perhaps it is better to remain unrenowned, than to achieve infamy... Kipling, the bereaved poet and parent of the Great War comes to mind: Here lies a soldier of the Great War. Known unto God

“I love him who does not hold back one drop of spirit for himself, but wants to be entirely the spirit of his virtue: thus he strides over the bridge as spirit. I love him who makes his virtue his addiction and his catastrophe: for his virtue’s sake he wants to live on and to live no longer.”
Freidrich Nietzsche
Sometimes I look back at that YOLO attitude of my younger days and shake my head. I mean I don’t necessarily regret it, but was fortunate to experience it, yet still survive. Presently I don’t fear death, but as I grow closer each year, I’m trying a little harder not to quicken it because as I’m just finding out now that I’m retired, living for living’s sake is pretty f’n cool & suddenly realize I’d like to do it a bit longer if I can.

It’s a song I mentioned on another thread. Yup, drive your car fast, crash, break your cervical spine and live life as a quadriplegic with pressure sores on your ass from being stuck in a wheelchair. Or suffer disgusting burns that leaves your face disfigured.
Live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse was meant as satire.

Of course gear plays a role in these deaths, we can deny it all we want but its not a coincidence in the last few years all the deaths related to cardiac conditions and this is just the deaths we hear about because it's the big names. We role the dice with our use, compounding the gear with other drugs whether bodybuilding drugs or rec drugs with the high body mass and weight add more to these heart conditions. After 20 years of using, i'll say there is no safe way to do this but there are safer ways to do this. Get blood work, keep BP under control, manage lipids, watch RBC and hematocrit, get an ECHO yearly and calcium score every few years and keep doses moderate. I wont even touch tren anymore and probably wont do orals again. Does this mean im gonna live a long life, hell no. There is some risk you have to accept if you wanna do this.

I personally have been done with lying to myself - I'm no different than any other type of drug addict - mine, is steroids
A few weeks ago I was at the gym with one of my favorite douche bags shirts on(Eat Clen Tren Hard) - so, me and this super juicer start flapping our gums - I told him about my hemorrhage - dude tells me he's 2 days out of ER for serious heart probs. 44 pushing 245 lean af - we are all gonna die, it's just matter of time

I’ve done the same, I’ve always known it but now I was finally made to do it. I considered my self a “user” but being honest it’s been my whole life……..I trade one thing off for another. First time I’ve been clean in a while, just 100mgs of hrt. Pain killers were the hardest then the anti inflammatories. Today is the first day for the anti’s……….pain killers have been a couple of months. Oh still on the weed but I did turn to edibles so I guess it’s not as bad . Been something though since 14, after 30 years old I considered myself a “pro” and just a user lol. The things we say to ourselves to get by hahaha!
