RIP Gustavo Badell
Scary. Stroke can be caused by high hemo/hema/RBCs which can be cause by prolonged elevated test levels. Just got my bloods back the other day too and I’m a bit high right before prep (got my in my head a little)
Best to his family though man he seemed like a great guy and great contributor to our sport. Very sad and scary

Gone way too young.

I don't know about you guys, but I've been more worried about this as of late. I have the kidney issues already and my BP is regularly in the 140-150 range even with 3 different meds. I mean I knew roughly the risks when I was younger and thought I'd be "smarter than everybody else about using it." Well, I haven't exactly been so smart about my gear usage.

In my kidney thread, I mentioned having to get a colonoscopy done (never talked about it other than saying that was in the lineup). One of the worst experiences of my life (I think it hurt worse than the car wreck that cost me a kidney). Luckily, all they found were a couple benign polyps.

I think theyr is some procedure you can do that they inject a micro sensor robot or whatever it is into the bloodvessel and it goes through the body and checks if you have any narrowed bloodvessels. If they get too narow it can cause a tromb. My uncle did that scan and they rushed him into surgery fixed it. If he didnt do it might be dead now

Just think about when we started getting flooded with supplements, which don’t have to be tested or approved. Guys have been tossing any sup into their body that they think might give them an edge.
Then andro in the 90’s which you could buy anywhere over the counter.
It was and is a racket that brings in billions on stuff that in the long run could easily turn out to cause a variety of problems.
The mass monsters started in the 90’s, and also the synthetic HGH became available around the same time. Dudes started taking more gear and at younger ages on a more wide spread basis.
So now it’s 2023, guys have been doing this for 20-30 years.
These deaths and lots more like them shouldn’t come as a surprise. As shouldn’t cardiovascular related problems. If your running even border high BP when you are only in your 30’s and on, guess what, your kidneys can go, as well of course - heart attacks & strokes.
If your blood sugar levels are high from slamming too much of the wrong carbs to get your calories in; you’re looking at diabetes and guess what, kidney failure.
The candle that burns twice as bright lasts half as long. Live fast, die young and leave a beautiful corpse.

The air being pumped in was very uncomfortable, but the pain comes, when he's trying to go around a corner and pushes the camera right in to the side of your colon. The maneuvering actually hurt worse than them cutting the polyps out (which also felt uncomfortable).
And yeah, I was under the impression that they put you to sleep for it. Maybe there was some change in philosophy in how they do it, but they did not put me to sleep. The sedatives they give you are not strong enough.
Not to mention you have to fast for 24 hours prior and drink this vile shit that is going to give you diarrhea for literally a day straight.

They generally will only put you out for a full colonoscopy (entire large intestine). For a partial they usually don’t. You can request, but that’s up to if your insurance will pay. Hint, they don’t like to & usually won’t.
When they do knock you out, you should be out by the time the stuff goes in.
Yeah, pumping the air and water in is weird feeling, but generally shouldn’t be that painful.
The wife and I each had 2 and it’s time for a third. For us it was the prep (drinking that horrible crap) that was the issue.
I’m thinking the clinic you got sent to might not have been that great. Sorry for your experience, but that much pain is pretty unusual.
Have you had a catheter shoved up your pee-hole? Now that will freak you out, plus you can see it happening.
Colorectal cancer is increasingly found in younger folks. It’s likely you’ll start to see doctors start testing everyone at 45 instead of 50. That is, unless it runs on your family and then they should start much sooner.

The only time I had a catheter in my pee-hole was when I was in that accident that I lost my kidney and broke my back in like 22 years ago now. I remember it hurting a lot more coming out than going in (I'm sure it had to do with me being in shock still and being injected with morphine before they put it in me). And while it was in, it wasn't so bad. I didn't even feel the urge to pee.

If you guys can find the Jeff Foxworthy bit on You Tube where he talks about getting the colonoscopy give it a watch.

My breathing is getting heavy lately whilst eating. No regrets. Living a life with low T is not a life worth living.

Hence why safer use models are strongly urged by guys like Victor Black and John Jewett. Test at lower doses where ancillaries are not needed then adding in safer AAS such as Mast or Primo and using that to drive up androgens.
Another point when it comes to heart health. A cheap, simple test to get is a Cardiac CT Scan for Calcium Score. Last time I got one it costs me $75 and took about 10 minutes. Naturally I got the hairy older male nurse instead of the hot ones running around the office. Lovely.
Quick description in the below link.

Same here there seems to be enough body builders who have passed or have medical issues to make a case that this isn’t a life of longevity using gear, I know others will point to something else but in my opinion if you use enough long enough there’s a price to pay unfortunately

RIP to Gustavo... gone way too soon. He had a phenomenal build, I'd put him over some Mr. Olympias over the last 10 years.
I see a lot of guys who were big for many years lose the weight and tone it down for health reasons. If its hard for us who aren't in the so-called "spotlight," I'm sure it's harder for them. Look at Allistair Overeem... dude was a rhino and now he's looking like a fit tennis player. But hey, it's a matter of life or death at some point and most of us would choose life over just looking jacked all the time.

None of us are gonna make it out alive
I just made a fresh thread on more BS I’m dealing with
Had to touch the hard stuff didn’t I
Not many steroid , PED users & other substance users make it to old age - my test only, var & Proviron method has worked for years without issues + Deca when my joints felt like ass
But, I’m pulling up on 43 & my dad got prostate cancer at 63(I’m pretty sure he’s 63) - I got blood work coming up this week, so hopefully that goes well - but, just knowing this alone just blows
I been on a ton of roids & who knows what else.
At this point, I don’t even kno wtf
His PSA was slightly elevated & the MD wasn’t even even that worried - but, suggested a biopsy - and, there it is - positive af
Who fucking knows, I “should” be starting my new “job” this week. I was supposed to start last week, but the guy said next week - then calls me, when we’re already rolling out of town. . . This job is prob a bigger death wish than my roid abuse.Last edited by < <Samson> >; 07-23-2023 at 03:16 PM.
