NYC Black Out
The power went out at 4pm. I had to walk an hour to get to my friends house. As I was walking they had the gates open on the sidewalks bringing out people stuck in the subway tunnels. Some of them stuck down in the heat for an hour.
My friend is a doctor, works at an NYC hospital so I met him at his place then went to the hospital. The hospital has emergency generators and air conditioning.
I'm now back at his place, sitting in the dark, using my laptop on dial up running off of batteries.
Anyone else stuck in the dark?

I haven't been on much unfortunately due to my hectic schedule, however, I was just about to leave the hospital when the blackout hit. They paged all doctors in the area to come back, to aid in case of an emergency. Not only that but although the hospitals did have generators there were some complications/problems in many of the nyc hospitals. Regardless, where my day was supposed to end around 5ish I ended up sleeping at the hospital on call all night...I am just happy to say there were no problems, and the power is up and running smoothly!
