CYC, Jason.... I must admit, this is a tough decision, but I'm up for leaving things the way they are, the current system seems to be working, accept the few that abuse the post whoring and all seems good to go for now.

I agree with you, BIG TEXAN. I don't think the problem is in the titles. I think the main issue is the safety of the new members who don't realize they should examine a person's posts before taking advice. I think if we fully address this issue, the rest won't be a problem.

I hope things stay as they are. There's always going to be a bit of opposition about some things, but I don't I think anyone here is going to loose sleep over it once a decision is made. Why consume a lot of your valuable time bringing in a new Karma system when:
(1) It has already been known to cause problems on Elite, and
(2) A new system will bring new disagreements, angry polls, more difficult decisions and arguments?

If it ain't broke, don't fix it. As I said before, I don't think the title system is the problem--People learn what to pay attention to quickly after being at the board a little while. It's the group of newbies we need to help to understand the title system quickly so they won't get hurt.
