Right click on the desktop, select properties, click on the appearance tab. You should be able to reset it there.

ok got it im assuming you have service pack 1
do everything
go to start bar
then settings
click on control panel
then click on accesability options (handicap)
then click top option
click on display tab in window that comes up
click on settings button
click on the scroll menu and scroll down to WIndows CLassic
click it
it should have windows classic in the box
now hit alt, leftshift, and printscreen together
dont be alarmed it should look bad
hit the hot keys alt, leftshift, and printscreen again
and see if it fixed it
goodluck worked on myn after i screwed it

Ok listen up.. this is what you do..
#1 grab a 10 pound sledge from your local department store or garage
#2 light some candles in the house, turn the electricity off in the house...
#3 Get some gasoline outta the garage also, or drive your car through the front door and have a rag in your gas tank...
#4 Hit yourself in the head as HARD as you can with the sledge hammer and knock yourself out..
#5 When the fire Dept. comes from the neighbors calling it in and resque your ass from burning, tell them that some crazy F uck did all this **** and stole your CPU..
#6 .... this shoulda been #1 throw YOUR F UCKING COMPUTER OVER A BRIDGE!!!! ( make sure you have fire/theft insurance..)

Start>Settings>Control Panel>System>Advanced>Performance (settings)
Make sure "Use drop shadows for icon labels on the desktop" is selected. Click "Apply" or "Ok"!
Or you can just select "Adjust for Best Appearance" and hit OK

I have an idea...get rid of XP!!!
I have more problems with that OS, then I do with anything else! I have 5 computers sitting here on my desk with XP and a ton of problems. Besides, You can hack that thing so easy...remember how friendly it is with digital cameras? Our server has been hacked into so many times because some dummy dosen't think XP can be touched....Kinda what I was working on yesturday...some one spoofed a signature of a digital add on, zip drive or camera, im not sure exactly what they used as the in, but XP waved it's hands to get the hackers attention and let them in....piece of ****!!!
