here we go...
alright guys... the bros from AR have always been stand up guys in my opinion. thoughtful, well-educated, and friendly as hell. so here goes....
i am a sophmore at a university with a great academic reputation and i have recently been suspended for the second time. to be honest, the first time was my own fault, and this most recent punishment was meted out solely because of last year's offense. (a fight) i'm living at home and making semi decent money working in a factory type setting for 12 hours a day... starting at 5 am. i have always valued a good day of work and for now it doesnt bother me. i definately plan on going back to school in the fall, and then probably back to where i have been going these past 2 years next spring to get my degree.
the situation is this... i dont mean to toot my own horn, but i am a pretty **** intelligent person and i pretty much always succeed at everything i do, based strictly on my intelligence and strength of will. i grew up with a father who was an drug and alcohol addicted psycho and he pretty much beat the **** out of me daily simply for exisiting. so my determination combined with my god-given natural intellect allows me be strong and usually successful. im thankful for that. i am an eagle scout as well.
thats the short bio.
i will be graduating from a kick ass school in two years, but i have no idea what i'd like to do. none at all. the only requirements are that it allow me to be creative and id like to make lots and lots of money. i mean id like to bank about 10 million before i hit thirty. (ideally) i am open to suggestions on what course i should take from this point on. what can i do for a living? and what should i major in?
i'm pretty much lost... and im asking anyone for advice. booze has always let me kind of shy away from figuring this out haha. and honestly, even being sober for weeks on end hasnt led to any revelations.
so to anyone who had the good nature to finish reading this tirade.... thank you. any and all advice is appreciated.

Lay off the booze and do some thinking. What makes you happy? What are you interested in? What are you good at? What are your dreams/goals in life? It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to do. The most important thing in building a career is doing something that you love. If you can find that, then everything will fall into place. Like hoss said, you have plenty of time to figure things out. Enjoy your last 2 years of college. They go by fast!!!!!!

No matter how much you tell us about yourself, we can't pick a career for you. We don't know what your dreams are. It is up to you to decide what you want to do and go for it. Pick your biggest dream, and if you are willing to work your ass off for it, you can do it.

You are determined, intellectual and want to be rich very fast? Hook up with some lowlife punks, find I bank, do some research on it and then let the punks rob the bank for you. You're on the next plane to Mexico and they'll be busted. HAHAHA! Can't come up with better advice.

Well, 95% of the people who could make 10 mil before 30 are entepreneurs who are good at what they do, so if you are very good at something, apply yourself to that and work your way to the top. Once you do start gettin some paper, dont spend it, invest, and invest right. Or you could just start a drug cartel.

go to some place thats quiet with just some white noise and just start naming **** that makes you happy. there must be a pattern in the things you say it wont be all random.. everything has a pattern just see what that pattern is.. and belive me happiness is much more important then money.. dont mind me asking what university are you going to?

i go to villanova.... and its not that i think that money buys happiness, its just that it buys security, and in this country unfortunately; money buys you your rights. what i'm really looking to do is be a writer. either novels, or to write and direct movies. im currently working on a script... but to be practical, i need a back-up plan. im basically willing to do any job that makes serious bank.... such as a broker or something of that sort. im really just trying to figure out what to major in at this point and get some idea as to what i can do with my life. thanks for all the replies, i like the bank idea, but seriously... nothing scares me more than the prisons in contemporary america. thats something to be avoided at all costs if there ever was one....
again, thanks for the replies.
what about advertising? does anyone do that? its something that i think i may be interested in...

Legal jobs that make big bucks?
Lawyers, entrepreneurs, doctors/dentists, and big executives.
I would HIGHLY recommend two books:
-The Millionaire Next Door
-The Millionaire Mind (better one)
Both by a guy named Thomas Stanley whos life has been Studying america's wealthy. You can gain alot of insight into how people became what they are. I woudl start here for sure.
