yah...they cant do that. The government will take it and cut the wingspars and then itll be useless. You can buy f-14's and f-4's the same way for like 10grand.

I used to work on F-18's when I first came into the Navy...`consume a crap load of JP5..very high in the Maintenance Man Hour/Flight Hour ratio and now that Beoing has comsumed McDonnell Douglas, parts are very hard to get..they are stretched thin for the govt..after all it supports Norwegians, Kuwaitis, Canadians, and a few other folks with repairable and consumable parts...Afterall the parts, one would need tech manuals, ground support equipment, test sets for the avionics.. Good luck to whoever gets it!
