what a shame - the real people that lost are all the investors in her company, the imployees, all the grannies that were supporting her stock - all so that idiot lawyer could spend millions of dollars to get his name in the paper while people that raped companies like Enron are still running about

Her program has been cancelled by CBS, as well. So look forward to Martha Stewart asking you for spare change outside of your local grocery store soon. LOL

Oh and proof of that fact is all the cheering being done in this thread and all around the country. No offense but it proves the govt.'s motive.

I never watched her show (I'm not at all into that macrame and decorating crap), don't know much about her, don't really care too much. But y'know, she only made $50,000 on the deal. There's lots of other people make bigger bucks on worse stuff out there . . . I'm still wondering why they spent so much taxpayer $$$ on a case involving only 50 grand?
I wish they'd spend some time and effort to get the 25% of Texas automobiles without liability insurance off the roads . . .

None of her convictions were for insider trading....all were regarding lieing and interfering with a government investigation. If she would have admitted her wrong doing from the get go...probably just a fine would have been her punishment. She thought that she was above the law and could get away with telling the FBI whatever she wanted.....

I thought since the new came out that anyone dumb
enuf to break laws that serious just to avoid losing
$43,000 when she was worth tens of millions should
go to jail for being a dumb ass...
Serves her right, what the F U C K was she thinking to
risk everything for only $43,000??? That's like
$5 bucks to me or you... It was nothing for her... How
stupid could a person be???

I also think she'll get "just" a fine and probation. Really sucks, because TPAK is right: If
it were any of us "regular" people, we'd be looking at Federal jail time. TRYINGTOGETBIG, approximately how many miles NW of the MetroPlex are you? We may be in the general vicinity of each other.

Yup, fine and a few "public service announcements" on TV and she's off the hook...
Since when do filthy rich people face justice anyways? It's the little people who always end up paying...
