Do you Vote?
With all the threads lately complaining about the government, I was just curious as to how many of you actually vote.
IMO, if you do not vote, you have zero right to complain.

I don't think you will get the truth out of most but in my case I enjoy the fact that I can vote again.

Yes, absolutely.
Although I think your thread is aimed at the American members here I thought I'd add my voice to it. I'm very passionate about my vote, because here in Ireland Irish men and women have died for our right to vote. Indeed as recently as 1973 Irish catholics in Northern Ireland were denied the right to vote by the occupying British authorities.
I think its shamefull for a person not to exercise their right to a free vote when millions around the world are fighting and dying for the same rights.

Nice words Bouncer...I agree 100% with you....for once.
I vote. I am also active on the local level with behind the scenes stuff for the Republicans. I help set up fund raisers and gatherings...I am a peon and help when asked....I am not a "ring leader" or anything like that.
Just today, a friend called me to get me to use some of my contacts to support a candidate who is a friend of ours. We will be involved in trying to get this young man elected in our city.
I have seen enough of politics to know how it works, and it sux! The only thing you can do to change anything is to vote & to be active prior to voting day!

Strength does not come from winning. Your struggles develop your strengths. When you go through hardships and decide not to surrender, THAT IS STRENGTH

Seriously, I've voted every election since I was 18. I'm in total agreement with Bouncer, D and Swellin......don't vote, don't complain.

So far, there are three votes here...for people who don't vote. We are a pretty peaceful group here...go ahead and tell why. I doubt anyone will give you too much grief over it.

I always vote too. It amazes me that so many millions of people don't vote when people have died for that right, and there are so many individuals throughout the world that still don't have (and are fighting for) that right. Even if you don't like any of the candidates, you can vote for a right-in candidate. Hell, they could vote for themselves if they wanted too. Of course, if they are liberals, there is no need for them to vote. J/k. Kinda.

I have voted in every election since 1980.

So those of you who voted "No" are liers!!! You had to "vote" to say that you don't "vote"....
I voted in the last Presidential election, Republican, but I will not be voting in this one, because I do not feel that either one represents how I feel about the issues.....
So does that mean I can complain???
Na I wont complain.. Ill just wait 4 more years and hope someone good comes along
