I've tried out for extra parts in horror movies before.. they never hire me. Sigh

well all in good fun, and because you kinda walked into this, a few possible reasons:

A) the fact that the average human protagonist needs to seem capable of killing the bad guy rules you out, in which case you might try testing for a more suitable role... say, michael myers, jason vorhees, or a 300+ lb damien.

B) you're just too d@mn scary for any horror movie role.
