bumped.
I got to this thread by searching but not sure how many recent users have read it.
Got me worried since a guy I know got back to the gym after a big pause and he's already juicing again - he has sleeping trouble and started taking pills (dunno which, he claims it's mild).
Guess I'm gonna point him this way - to make sure he's not wanting to regain all the time he missed by overdoing somewhere.

Srry to hear about your bro, all of the bodybuilging comunity supports you. Keep it strong, and people should pay really close attention to what they are taking, follow the advise because 99% of the time you know you are doing something wrong but just don't want to hear it.

Sad story bro. It's just too bad that some people just can't see what they are doing to themselves. I also read so many people's posts here that are just going way overboard. I always try to interject with a word of caution and to take it slow. There's no rush in this game, it takes time to make great gains and losses.

I agree, as a diabetic i deal with hypoglycemia on a daily basis. There are people who slip into diabetic coma as a result of hypoglycemia and they don't come out others do. But it is something that is preventable. Also, different medications + recreational drugs can affect the way the insulin is absorbed.
I'm not a doctor, but i've spoken to endocronologists and dieticians and they will tell you many things can affect blood sugar + insulin levels. My condolences go out to you and your friends family.

I have to agree with this as well. Insulin especially the fast acting insulin like Humalog can be dangerous especially to somone who is not diabetic. I've experienced that wieght training can actually cause your blood sugar to rise while cardio or aerobic exercise can cause your blood sugars to decrease. I don't know why someone would want to cause their blood sugars to "spike" after a workout but I think the whole point of insulin for non-diabetics is to speed up their metabolism. The low blood sugar levels make you want to eat
just about everything in sight (for me anyways). It would be an effective way of putting on mass I suppose...Sorry for the digression
