i wouldn't doubt the availability of orals in the big house, but where would they get the needles. it wouldn't suprise me if they are available there.

i spent some time incarcerated and the availabilty of "gear" in the big yard is quite hard to come by. there are some pushers where i stayed, all they could get their hands on were oral tablets.

There have been FEW cases, in the state I live in. Everytime they were brought in by staff. Orals only.

I don't know, but you would probably have to pull a lot of weight to get enough brought in and saved up for a proper cycle.

Remember that the prison population is overrepresented with xyy males, i.e. guys with a chromosonal aberration: instead of the normal one x and one y chromosome, (women have two x chromosomes) they have an extra y. This increases the likelyhood of antisocial behavior and also predisposes you to have greater androgenic characteristics. I suppose that would lead to more muscle growth? Also ordinary normal guys who are just highly androgenic are more likely to be aggressive and do more crazy shit to get locked up. Yeah, BBers on juice carry a big load of test, but we are aware and we are educated and so we don't screw up like that. Think about it... if your test levels were up where they are when you are doing 500 or 1000 mg a week, but you had no idea that they were up, as if somebody was slipping that shit to you on the sly somehow, wouldn't you be just a tiny bit more likely to behave aggressively in public? Aggression can expressed in other ways than with a barbell. It can be in the form of TAKING something... rape, theft, robbery, etc, being self centered, antisocial, psychopathic. It is all about ME, and MINE, and CONTROL. WINNING. DEFEATING. Sound a bit familiar? So I would guess that on average, the prison population has a great deal more testosterone than the general public. Wimpy little poindexters don't hold up banks or shoot rival drug dealers. This is a hell of a lot of conjecture and probably will elicit a lot of controversy but hey my mind is wandering today. It's sunday, after all. Good day for expressing wild assed opinions.

Really it is remarkable how well some guys do locked up, having to subsist on institutional food. It does kinda make you wonder... bump this thread!

Weed and coke yes but not gear. Lots of tuna and jack mack for protein that what i eat .

Ironhorse, my sister is a prison guard. She says prisoners hide stuff ANYWHERE. The most common place is wrapping "something" in cellophane and sticking it up the old a-hole. Also, some cell beds have matresses. Inside the matress would be an obvious choice. Most common things found in jail, again this is according to her, that are illegal are weed and cocaine. Shanks are more common though... that's a paper in itself. Some guys can make shanks out of anything.

Lol..no. Store bought food. Yes, the prisons do have prisoner stores. Also, stamps, trading for tatoo work, sexual favors, and just about anything you can think of.

As far as hiding shit, convicts hide shit anywhere you and they can think of. Remember, they have 24/7 to think of ways to hide shit. Most common place to hide something and be sure that it's fairly safe is what someone else already mentioned - up the ass.

or are most people laid back trying to make the best of their time?

is there access to internet and libraries? or other things?

it depends on what type of prison. it's not too common in jails, but even in level 5 high security prisons there are people who peddle this stuff. in level 1 prison camps these are much more common.

On The Learning Channel there was a prison weight lifting competition. Did anyone see this shit? It was crazy. They were lifting insane amounts of weights and were screaming and banging their heads against the walls. They were squating more then I've ever seen and they didn't have any belts or wraps either. It was intense.

i may be facing some jailtime, my arraignment is next month and im being charged with a felony c unless i can plea bargain. if i am given a sentence for possession (enough weight to label intent) of a schedule 1 substance do you have any clue whatsoever what crowd of people i'll be surrounded with? I figure with an assault charge you weren't exactly in the worst of atmospheres.

It all goes by the state your in. I had a frist degree felony i was looking at 7yrs. They worked for 2yrs and i ended up with 2yrs in and 2yrs out. But i didn't rat if you rat people find out and life is a living hell. Good luck!

keep in mind i'm facing a felony because i possessed a schedule 1 substance. when things like that happen, the detectives immediately interrogate you and offer you out of the sticky situation for the origin of the drug. well, as i said, i am going to court next month . ratting was out of the question.

It was a good friend of mines birthday and I was holding six grams of coke, all of which was to be dispersed over a large amount of people at a party. I got pulled over and searched for no apparent reason (this was in college, campus police ASSume drunk driving in all cases) and i was hauled in. I flew back to New York for the time being and dropped my credits for the semester, pretty shitty situation.

Ironhorse, I talked to my sister and her hubby today. Together, they have around 12 years being prison guards in Maryland/West Virginia/ Virginia. They said they've never heard a report of rape in the jail they work at. Keep in mind though this is just a 4 county jail and not a state or federal pen. My sister's husband actually just resigned his post at the jail. He got in some deep shit for beating the fuck out of an inmate who wouldn't cooperate. He's about 5'9, 190, and throws up 315 on the bench when we work out together (my parents and sister live in WV). The damage incurred was like 2 broken ribs, broken jaw, and some fucked up eyes. I don't know I told all that, just thought maybe some more info for your report or whatever. I know for my papers I need a shitload of info, and there's never enough.

My girl's dad is an ass. warden at a fed pen. He told me that the most precious thing in jail were the weights. It would be quite easy to grab a plate and hit someone in the head. But it's well know that if this happens the weights go and if the weights go you have to deal with everyone. Coke is the thing in the pen It if often placed in a book and open carefully...If there is a shake down it can be dumped quick. He has shown me shanks and a favorite is the slates that support the bed. He has told me stories of everything as fair as drugs being found even roids well orals. The main to thing in jail is coke and gambling though.

jbrand, if you're just convicted of posession then you will not be placed with violent offenders. they're usually pretty friendly in those blocks.

even in the violent groups, i've never seen or heard of prison rape, but i'm sure it exists out there if not in the prison i was in then in some other prisons around the country.

that's what i was hoping for. anything to put my anxiety at ease until judgement day.

After the rumors you hear and the movies you see plus the tv shows like OZ I am terrified of ever going to prison.

A friend that was in prison and he told me of a couple things that he saw,

1 - a box full of porn mags, candy bars soap and stuff is left out side a new inmates cell. (like how a welcome package would look like) if the new prisoner takes the box in his cell he has just become somebodies special freind.

2 - a new prison will eventualy be smacked around by a group of other prisoners to determine his place in the pack I guess. sort of like seeing how much he can take.

3 - on release date he said some of the lifers will smack you a bit sort of to say you better not be back. Don't blow the chance you have in the free world.
