Lost Too Much Weight Too Fast......
I have recently dropped a lot of weight over the past 6mos. I used to be around 220-225 and now I am at 175-180 so I have lost a good 40-50lbs. But i dunno if its because I lost the weight relatively quickly or what but, I now just have a lot of loose skin/fat/flab. I mean its pretty gross. It almost just hangs off of me.... Like if I am doing some push-ups w/o a shirt on and I look down at my stomach-- my stomach fat is just hanging off of me and it looks f*cking disgusting.
I dunno if there are like two types of skin fats or something or what b/c my brother has recently gained like a lot of weight over the past 6-12mos.--probably just as much weight as I have lost (40-50lbs AT LEAST) and now he is chunky as hell but his fat is like more solid or something...its not all flabby like mine--it makes me mad. haha
Anyways, if you guys aren't completely grossed out by now, then let me know HOW CAN I TIGHTEN MY SKIN UP!?!?!?! I have been doing sit-ups/crunches as well as oblique workouts and I have also been doing all kinds of chest exercises b/c my chest is flabby too. I also go tanning relatively often. I can feel the muscle underneath my flab and stuff--Like when I flex my abs--you can see my top two abs and then underneath those is just a bunch of flab and fat--and when I flex my pecs I can feel a lot of muscle under there.... I swear if I could ever see the muscle on my chest underneath the fat, it would look good. But I had always been fat (now I kind of still am) so I have never looked good w/my shirt off (since I was like 6yrs old). haha
Anyways, it is just getting really old and I am contemplating lipo-suction on my belly and chest even though I really dont have the time or the money to get it done..... By the way, I am 20yrs old, 6', 178lbs., w/around 16-17%B/F (at least thats what this $150 body composition scale tells me)
Let me know what you guys think I can do and if THERE IS ANYONE OUT THERE WHO HAS BEEN IN MY SITUATION BEFORE, PLEASE FILL ME IN ON WHAT I CAN DO TO TIGHTEN MY SKIN UP!!!
Thanks everyone.

skin will only tighten up when u get to single digit bf. unless you were MASSIVELY obese (like 400+lbs) then you wont have "loose skin" once you slim down to 10% or lower bf.
Look at perfectbeast for example, lost over 100lbs of flab and right now has visible abs..."loose skin" is a myth.

^^^ yeah.
lipo wont help, what you would need done is to have the excess skin removed. can leave big scars.

oh yeah, don't do lipo..absolutely pointless. get down to single digit bf..
i've been in the same situation, I went from 215 to 165 and had "loose skin"...it was only wen I got down to 10% that I noticed it tighten up

This is precisely (along with some health caveats) why rapid, severe weight loss frowned upon.
I hate to be the bearer of such bad news, but there is no non-surgical action that can eliminate skin flaps. This problem has plagued women during post-pregnancy for centuries. The only alternative is a tummy tuck as described by Donnie B. It's not liposuction which removes fat, but a skin removal where they literally cut and stitch.
Although I'm incredulous, there is a theory that regaining the weight and then re-losing it properly (more slowly) corrects this problem, and though speculative it could work.
On the bright side the tummy tuck has become a routine procedure.

Skin elasticity is age dependent. At 20 year sold your skin should recover in time. You might want to try sum chick skin cream. Lipo will remove fat cells but there are two dangers with this.
1) As far as I know they only remove Sub-Q fat which may lead you to the faulty and dangerous conclusion that your visceral fat has been reduced or is in check. This may not be the case. Visceral fat is more of a cardiac health risk then sub-Q fat.
2) Although it was initially believed that fat cells only split several time sin a human beings life it has been proven that they can multiply at any point.
hence if you spend thousnads of dollars on lipo suction and your diet sucks you will get fat again.
Is lipo useless - no you can reduce the number of fat cells you have
Is lipo a permenent solution - No diet and lifestyle are

ok...everyones ignoring me but trust me.
You CANNOT know you have "loose skin" until you get down to single digit bf. It worked for me, Its worked for Perfectbeast .... it will work for you. 40-50lbs is nothing I've lost exactly that, Perfectbeast lost 2x that....if we don't have "loose skin" you wont either.
Get down to single digit bf

Alright. Will do. Trying to get diet in check..... What worked for you? I am at about 175 w/supposedly 15.1%B/F (according to my body comp scale) and it said that I have roughly 142lbs of lean mass. So should my diet look like this:
53/50/20??
That is 3068cals.
Or
More Protein?? Above is only 1.5g of Pro./lb. of LEAN body weight... Should I do 1.5 of total weight??-- Making it about 65.625/50/20 bringing it to around
3470cals/day?? I believe my BMR is about is like 3500-3900cals/day... SHould I lower my carbs and fats and take in less cals/day or what do you guys think?? Can you help me out before I move this into the diet forum???? Thanks for the help so far

if you weigh 175 at 15% bf that means you have approx 26lbs of fat, meaning your LBM would be 149 or around there. get to 160 or so and you'll be amazed, if it doesnt all tighten up right away it will alot quicker at that bf.
and 3000 cals is way too high for you at that weight, thats about my maintenance and I'm 30lbs heavier than you nearly.. post your diet in the diet forum and someone will help you out with it.

snrf is exactly right. once you get down to about 10% bf or less your body will start to use adipose tissue(fat tissue) for energy in a sense. the lower fat diet you are on the better and cardio of course! and i definately agree that 3000 calories is too much. at 20 and 6' and 180 you are in you ideal range so i would probably go about it gradually but maybe end up at about 2300 or 2400 kcals a week. just my 2 cents

i hate to say this and burst your bubble but i have had a couple friends who lost amazing amounts of weight like 100 pounds 150 pounds and they still have loose skin and it's been like 4 or 5 years since they lost the weight.... i also hate to say this but some people just dont have the genetics to loose weight and not have "loose skin".... some people just aren't able to do it no matter what... except for tummy tuck and surgical options... IMO

I am in the same boat as you.... went from 240 to 150, back up to 170 for 3 years. I am now on a test E cycle for gains to try and get my weight back up to 200, take 10weeks off then go on a cut cycle. I will post results as they occur. Im also 6'0'', 21 years old.
The biggest problem I had when I lost all the weight was muscle loss. My wrists and arms became very small, legs got very small and shoulders became narrow. I still have a large frame, just alot less meat around the edges.
You posted this in the aas forum, are you, or have you gone on aas before or have you considered it?? I am not promoting it for your particular situation, just curious...

So, once again, I DUNNO what I am gonna do. But anyways, thanks for the info. I might pm you and see what all you have done since we kind of have the same build (it seems like). I dunno about your b/f and everything but whatever.....i gotta get off here. late
