    Just look at http://www.nfl.com/combine/top-performers
The most talked about fast players in college did not always run the fastest 40
    Jeremy Maclin ran a 4.5
At 5'-9" i only could see you playing RB or CB. And if you cant jump high then only RB.

Kid, if you've still got 2 years to go in highschool, and you're putting up the numbers you are right now, you have huge potential. You're not even full grown, unless you decide to use aas, which will keep you from growing to your full potential. Who knows, if you stay away from juice, you might be tall enough to play D1 by the time you graduate.

    best advise you're gonna get
I grew 3 inches junior year and put on tons of strength and weight
your body is growing like crazy at your age, and steroids is more likely to hurt then help at your age.
I never used until 27 and got money for college for a sport, you can do it.

people can and will succeed with slower times to a degree, meaning there speed slowed down after getting to school and gaining weight..
to get a full ride to any ncaa schools, regardless of division, playing olb or rb u have to run faster then a 4.6.or keep it at a 4.6 and bulk up...bottomline.the kid is already light and when he gains, he will lose speed.
there are always the exception to the rule (ur homeboy) however college scouts dont give a shit, there are linemen that run 4.6 and they are 260 pounds plus...

Listen, (I hope he Reads this) Your in Highschool. You need to train hard. Lifting and Running. You already have one up on football because you run track. I ran a 4.9 my Freshman year in highschool. I joined the track team and by junior year I was 4.5 and senior I was solid 4.4 with a couple of 4.3 times. I didnt even know wut roids were back then. Now is the time when you have to use what god gave you.
At 13 All the other kids were bigger and faster than me. at 17 there may have not been many college players who were on my level. That was nonstop training bro. Practice everyday, study film. run track and lift weights and you will reach your potential. Dont cheat yourself, even if you say oh f him and decide to get gear?? Lets say you become superman? When you get to college you will be infiltrated... I can give you well known guys who came into college as superstars and then were shut down after a few weeks once the Drug testing started. Use your head kid.
Play every sport you can and get a good diet and work out program. If you run a 4.6 now any good track coach can have your time down in a Year or so.

my friend probably ran a 4.6 or slower when he was 16. he still has 2 years so he is gonna get faster. he weighed probably 160 when he was 16 and probably 200 by the time he hit college. he started at a top 25 bcs ranked school as a true freshman. now he weighs 240 and runs a 4.5 and he has been chemically enhanced. my whole point is i dont think this kid in any means should touch gear but just like my friend while in high school u can grow and gain weight natty. look at any d1 scouting report and a 4.6 as a 16 year old isnt slow. if u guys keep telling him he is to small and slow its like ur encouraging him to juice. honestly he probably will be atleast 5'11 maybe even 6'0" by the time he graduates. i coach high school kids and the difference between a 16 year old to 18 year old is atleast 3 inches and 25 pounds.

I know what you mean but I Need to get bigger
My 40 is better now than in the summer my squat has gone up alot since then and my 100 dash time was way better at the start of the season than last year. I just didnt want to e stat by guessing that I could run sub 4.5 now.
Do they test in college at the start of the season? or during the summer before football starts?

They do Random Testing. All you need is hard work and dedication. Good diet and work out program will do you wonders.

You dont need speed to be a LB, Its about persuit and sideline to sideline speed. Not straight ahead speed. Mike singeltary once said he think he ran a 5.9 in the 40. He was one of the greatest

    Agree 100%

This kid is very strong and fast for a 17 year old. He has the potential to get there.

very easy to accomplish in 5 years. plus he is gonna grow a couple inches also. i litterally coach 15 to 17 year olds as stated before they are all so small compared to the seniors let alone once u get to college.
