    steroids make you sterile?

    Hello,
I have been trying to find info on this stuff makeing you sterile. So far what I have found is that it is unlikely if you cycle the stuff instead of staying on it for prolonged periods. After a cycle your sperm count is down but as your body's function comes back your sperm count will come back too. Is this accurate? Has anyone on here become sterile? Anybody know of other articles? I am 28 and dont have kids yet. I would like them one day but not for another 5 to 10 years. Thanks for any info!

It is a possibility, even after only one cycle

High dosages of androgens can cause the body to stop or reduce a process called spermatogenesis. It takes about 72 days a for a sperm cell to mature. During a cycle the testicles are effectively told to shut down new sperm production. For those 72 days you are still fertile, after that time frame sperm production is reduced or arrested if androgens are still being administered.

But once the cycle ends then your body will start produce sperm again righ? I mean the odds of someone becoming permanently sterile after one 8 wk cycle would be pretty slim right?

    There low odds, yes.

With SERMs, HCG and HMG available now, it increases the odds dramatically.

High dose Clomid will reduce sperm count.

I know more than 2 dozen couples who have conceived and had perfectly healthy children on or after cycles.

Most studies show that about 99% of men fully recover within 1.5-2 years. A very large majority within 6 months of disuse.

Yeah low low odds. Like 1 in 100000 people might stop producing sperm. I got my wife prego three months after my last cycle.

That's just a myth, Ronnie Coleman has 8 kids. You'll be fine.
