Very new and needing guidance
So I'm really getting tired of being jerked around but the guys at GNC and Nutrition pit. My last adventure I asked for a suppliment to boost testosterone , give me a little bit of rage back (I've been depressed for about a month and wanted to pull out of it), and get me to put on some muscle. I take a good 170ish grams of protine just in powder a day, let alone what I get outta what I eat. They told me to take a-hd and solid, which I just found out is relatively untested and might not even do anything for me. Earlier they put me on tribulous. Obvioulsy I'm getting pushed around with false promises so I'll drop cash.
I know your guys aren't gonna be my personal trainers or anything like that, plus I already have a pretty good work out system. I bench 200, squat 300, preacher curl 60 per hand, and can still run a respectable mile. I got the work out thing pretty well squared (If yall wanna drop some ways to push myself though I'll listen and be appreciative though).
But on to the point. I'm going to post my stats and what I'm after. It would be very appreciated if yall could give me a few leads or suggestions as to what to take or what to do to help me get there.
Stats:
age: 22
weight: 155ish
height: 5-7 5-8 ish
body fat: calculator said 13.8%
Upper arm: 14.5 - 15 depending on the day
Chest: 38ish
Waist: 32
Shoulders (not across chest): 14
Target
weight: 175-180
body fat: maybe a little less to show off the abs
Upper arm: 16 - 17
Chest: maybe 40ish?
(if height could be added I would probably sell a kidney to get it XD )
I'll put the work in, that's no problem. I just havent seen real gains in a while and i've only got about 2.5 months to get as close to my target as I can...
Again, any help is very appreciated.

Go over to the nutrition section a post up your diet. At 155 it seems you need to eat better.

Impressive....
I would recommend to go the nutrition section, they have the best people there and will help you with your diet. cause in the end its all about the diet.
as for mentally I would recommend doing some meditation and some yoga.
Good luck!

Honestly if you get help in the nutrition section it will make a world of difference. You my friend need to eat a lot everyday. You can put on a good bit of size with diet and training. Good luck and welcome.

Thanks, I'll check it out.
I know that I'm still on the young side of taking hormone boosters, but I'm still kinda looking for something to help me break my plateau's. Y'all putting it on diet alone?

Om mani padme hum my friend.
So many benefits for meditation, I recommend everybody to do it.
[QUOTE=RiseFromTheAshes;6106353]If youre being serious than thank you for the kind words. I don't see it as being too impressive though. I'm still the smallest in my family and ive only seen about 30 lbs of gain in about 3 years.
I'm impress by your strength for being 155pounds.
Good luck!

Yes I am putting it all on diet and training. If you want to be 180 lbs you have to eat what a 180 lb man would need to maintain that weight. No way your eating that much now.

Sometimes getting picked on for being the small guy has it benefits. I push myself as hard as I can becasue I want to be better than the guys who made fun of me for being the runt. No worries though, I know I can take how hard I push myself, I've taken much worse over the years lol
Awesome... eating too much makes me sick and I'm rarely hungry. I know I eat well (enough), I just dont eat alot...
But if that's what its gonna take, then that's what I'm going to do....
Thank you all.

you only want a 40 inch chest? that's tiny, I weighed 145 and had a 40 inch chest. Weigh 230 and have 50 inch chest and 17 inch arms cold.
Anyways like they said key here is going to be food, and time. Don't ever think you have training down or diet down, always room to improve. Your lifts are decent for your weight, but you could be benching 300 and squatting 400 over time, so remember you can always improve.

Yeah, don't listen to those cats at GNC. The only supp you should spend your money on is the cheapest creatine monohydrate you can find. and, like mentioned, food and a good diet. Hard training.
Good Luck

Can i give you some unsolicited advice mate?
Never ask a salesman for nutritional advice. Why?
there "advice" will ALWAYS be what they have available on the shelves.
Outcome?
1 less item on the shelf, a commission for the salesman, your wallet is lighter, and typically you will not get what you ask for.

Yeah. Normally I can see through the sales pitches. I've bought cars and bikes, talked people down from payday to reasonable on both sides. I just forgot to do my research here and believed what they had to say one suggestion at a time.
Again. Thank you all for your input. I think I have a a solid plan for changing my game up. I think my biggest fault was thinking that protein shakes were enough in the morning. I'm going to keep them in my diet, just because I can always use the extra protein. I think where I'm lacking is in the overall calories and carbs area. at least diet wise. I'm not going to lie though, I think the best part about the advice y'all have given is the subtle confidence that I can reach my goals and that I can do it under my own strength. Its a pretty nice moral boost.
As for my chest size, I havent measured it in a while and I'm at work right now so I'm just going off of my shirt size (lol). But to be honest, I'm not* looking to be a freak. I just want to look a little closer to how strong I am. That and I'm trying to be Bane for halloween =pLast edited by RiseFromTheAshes; 08-09-2012 at 11:59 AM.
