The TRUTH about steroids, video, Parts 1 and 2
Mates,
Although this has some age on it, I think it presents itself in a fashion I think we can all agree is fair and more or less accurate. I would also like to clarify this is ONLY with respect to healthy males, not youngsters still developing, and not women.
Enjoy!

Yeah very good vids TR. thanx for them. Until the scientist can test on humans this topic will be debated for generations. Another similar topic is the effect of PROTEIN on the body, how vast amounts can actually age a person. How Intermittent Fasting was beneficial to everybody. I watched an interesting programme on this it was
BBC's Horizon Eat,Fast and live longer.
I'm trying to find a link to it if I do I will post it. If any of you have the time to google it please do its very good.

Yeah these are good videos. I remember watching this on Real Sports when it first aired. I was also very surprised to see Armen Keteyian doing this project. He was such a steroid hater for so long but was glad to see he was willing to admit he might be wrong.
All that said, when this thing aired I remember thinking maybe it would grab some more attention and bring the argument back up in a big way but no one in the media really touched it or acknowledged it. Maybe if Real Sports had kept pushing the issue, doing more digging and promoting more reasonable discussions on the topic it would have had a stronger effect. Still, as is no one in the main stream media really gave this any attention outside of Real Sports. Very frustrating. Just goes to show how intrenched the negative view on steroids is.

Great videos. Thanks TR. I'm glad to hear them keep saying "healthy ADULT males". It's always an uphill battle with some of our younger members trying to explain why they should wait. Hopefully some will view this video and give more thought to the decision....but I have my doubts.
Great post.

Good stuff TR. We need to post stuff like this from time to time even if it's older or a repost for people that have not seen it or are new to the board. I watch bigger faster stronger once a month still.

Man, we sure beat a dead dog over and over.
They are great vids. . . But old as dirt.
Roids are just not publicized anymore or even brought up that much. Not until it's in a bad way. . . He doped, he doesn't deserve shit. Fvck, just legalize the shit and let be out.
Think how much more fn sports would be.

Well most ppl lack a whole lot knowledge about it, i know when i hear girls and some guys talk about steroids they still talk about how it shrinks your dick... if somehow we made steroids more known and showed the safety of it, it could be legal.

The thing is logic and facts don't matter and make no difference in this argument. When people are emotionally tied to an opinion it's very hard to shift their opinion another direction even when the hard facts show their opinion is wrong. This isn't simply an issue with steroids , it's happened with a host of issues throughout history.
Here's a good example of what I'm talking about. People on message boards will often berate others for posting information on cycles they consider extreme. It depends on the message board but there are a host of scenarios where this plays out. People will scream and cry and say this is why steroid users have a bad name. I disagree. Steroids and steroid users have a bad name because it's steroids and nothing more. It doesn't not matter how safe your cycle is, how responsible you are with your use or what hard fact you have to back up your position, to the rest of the world you're just using steroids and you have a problem. This again all ties into the emotional hysteria that surrounds anabolic steroids.

very astute argument, and I agree.
But here's the thing mates. Steroids is only taboo in a few developed countries. There are other countries like Bosnia where steroids are socially acceptable, even in the medical community. And their knowledge far outstrips most members here. I knew a bloke while in afghanistan, called him the big bosnian. we'd sit and eat dinner together, and he'd ramble on about his steroid use , how his pre olympic team had a sponsored sports "consultant" and their steroids were free. he's go on and on about the theory and different applications of steroids, how to adjust certain protocols to attain certain results. when it was appropriate to take npp, when it is not. the dude could literally lecture a class here and steroids was just something he did while training for judo and powerlifting. he was actually a combat seasoned sniper and modern day paratrooper. To be honest, as far as I can tell, he knows more about steroids than anyone here that i've talked to. Granted, I haven't had the privelege of having intense one on one's with some of the very knowledgeable vets here, so I could be wrong. But there was another Bosnian at another compound that was almost equally knowledgable. Only in the US are we forced to stumble through with our "trial and error" methods, and anecdotal evidence, to try and put together a decent AAS protocol. Bosnia has been studying steroids with human trials for over a generation. Theey are light years ahead of us in this area.

Ive watched bigger, stronger, faster like 3x and still dont get why people like it. I though it was a bunch of bunk, poorly made and never really gave any facts about anything for or against and the guy who stared in it was pathetic.
These shows were MUCH better. I have seen them before and they do need a good bump every couple of months.
Thanks for posting them TR.
