High Dosage - Short Length vs. Low Dosage - Longer Length?
I need a definite answer for this. Let us compare two cycles:
1) 500mg pw Test E for 12 weeks
-vs-
2) 750mg pw Test for 10 weeks
Been looking all over the internetz for an answer. The most common bro knowledge is that a longer cycle with low to medium dosages will allow one to retain more gains because "your body gets adjusted to having more mass".
A few people say that going in hard and getting out fast is the way to go because apparently, time-on is a bigger contributor to shut down than high doses.
Some fewer and rare people like Atomini would say "Why not low dose AND shorter length?" and cite hormones elicited around the 9 week mark that prohibit or at the least, slow down gains.
So, what is the answer?
I am personally going to err on the side of High Dose - Short Length cycles because one study I remember from a while ago:
30 mg ED of Dbol had shutdown natty test 40% by 6 weeks.
50 mg ED of Dbol had shutdown natty test 50% by 6 weeks.
A 20 mg (significant) increase in Dbol had resulted in only 10% more shutdown by 6 weeks. Would this potentially hold true for other AAS as well?

Well, this is what I got for you bro.
I ran 500mg ew of test and got good results.
Then ran 800+mg ew and got nothing but extra sides(backne, massive extra hair and oily skin)

^^^^^agree with Samson.... i take the 500mg for longer time , then higher dosage for shorter time.

I think it's 6 of 1 and half dozen of another. It would depend on my goals and my time line. I can cite advantages and disadvantages for both!

Did you run 800mg pw for a shorter length than the 500mg cycle? Were you on AI? What were your starting weights for both cycles? Did you account for needing higher calories on 800mg/wk?
As much as I appreciate your input, I can get similar answers all over the place. A bit more detail please. =P

Follow my cycles, they are on here.
The 500mg made me just blow up like no other. I ran this for 12 weeks.
I ran 800mg for 60 days.
My diet is much better on the 800mg run. Very heavy and pretty lean. No improvement, at all compared to 500mg.
Test is just that, test. It seems like this is the reason why people stack substances. Everything I see and hear goes by this: 1000mg of just test is not the same as 500mg of test and 500mg of deca . < And the like.
Just pumping high test does not seem like the way to go. No one agreed with my dosage amount, but I wanted to try it for myself.

Well, I know the whole juice and the young is beyond frowned upon.
But, I really can't say from experience. Since I never knew anyone that did it when they were young. The only thing I see is the punk kids at my gym that blow up over a 2 moth period. And look mad swoled. . . . How bad is it for them, I don't even wanna know.

LOl... same thing here in POrtugal, young kids at the gym gain 25 pounds in the summer ( July and Aug) with dbol , then after the summer you dont see them again, until next summer, and they come in skinny has hell, then start dbol again for July and Aug... a couple of times i went up to some kids i already know, and told them that Dbol alone is going to screw up their bodys and that they are to young... they look at me, and tell me its celltech.... i say "sure, celltech gives you a moon face", then i hit them on the chest, and they move away in pain, and i tell him, " ya celltech also gives you Gyno"....lol

I have been meaning to get that fixed from a mod's help. I just chose 18 when I signed up here because I was in a hurry and didn't think I would actually care about my profile.
I could just create a new account but I would rather get this one fixed.
BTW, I was 20 when I did my first cycle. I did it because football and scholarship were on line. I also had a coach who was also a doctor who helped me through the whole process. My first cycle of 500mg pw of Test, I had bloodwork done every week. My coach helped me get back to baseline. Let's just say I was very very very important for my team.
Back to the original question, I am trying to come up with a definite answer to the question: What causes harder shutdown: Longer cycle or Higher dosages?

To add some more relevancy to this topic: I am on 300mg pw of Tren . I will run this for 12 weeks. But I don't get any unbearable sides till around 450-500mg of Tren. Hence, I could instead do 400mg pw for 10 weeks. If higher dosages don't contribute to shutdown as much as longer lengths do, logical reasoning would tell us to go for higher dosages (with sides controlled) and shorter lengths.

Tren at 50mg Ew will shut you down 100%...we are not talking Anavar where there is suppresion vs shutdown at low doses. The difference betwwen 300mg and 400mg wont even be able to measure. 300mg is MORE than enough considering the 5x rule of tren. Thats the equivilent of 1500mg of test...seems like plenty doesnt it!
