It seems to concern ejaculation, rather than masturbation specifically. There seems to be a lot of conflicting info about this on the web, so it's nice to see an actual study. Would be helpful to read the whole study, however, as abstracts can often be misleading.

Yes, this has been studied several times. Effects are temporary. Back to baseline very quickly. So don't go running a 24 week cycle of abstinence now.

I need to rub one out, or get a nut off every twelve to 36 hours, or else I start thinking about girls and their devil magic vaginas. Counterproductive. Gotta clean the pipes.

Gee...I have to rub one out each day. It's just like the need to brush your teeth once or twice a day...it's just something I have to do.

Ok sounds all well and good, but do they discuss the mental affects also in the period time of that 7 days without masturbation?

I couldn't do it. Even on days that the wife lets me have sex, I've rubbed one out on my own at another point in the day.

And the study on viagra shown that regular intercourse was increasing testosterone level.
Believe what you want but i will NEVER pratice abstinence.
I prefer to require TRT than have no sex.
And I think everyone agree with that.

Holy hell. When I'm on cycle I have sex at least 5 times a week, sometimes I'll make her have it twice a day, plus my own extra curricular activities on top of that. I dare not calculate how many times I actually ejaculate!

Cool somebody posted this thread..I always wondered if that did effect anything. Good to know. Maybe use 7 days of abstinence as part of PCT.

Lol some funny posts in here. I was more meaning that maybe one should be mindful of the last time they ejaculated everytime they get blood work done. The study asserts that there is a peak at day 7 and continue used abstinence does nothing (I.e return to baseline). However it does not mention if test levels rise slowly from day 1 to day 7 to peak at the 45% (or whatever it was) above normal
Obviously if you get bloods done I'm assuming you would want to ejaculate x number of hrs or days before each test in order to get accurate results every time. Does anyone adhere to that? Because it seems
To make a heck of a difference

^^^^ Haha. It would be to hard to not... I already feel restricted enough with my workout routine, work, and nutrition. Now you shouldn't rub one out? No f#EURking way :-)

yeah, This has been known for a long time. When athletes go in the high mountains to train....sex, masturbation is not allowed. Back in my younger days....had to avoid it prior to a marathon. Afterwards.......now that's a different story....Oh Yeah always plenty of trophy's at the finish line.

Hmm? I have my first bloodtest for TR this Sat. and they told me not to ejaculate for minimum 24 hours prior. Why would that be? Does it give a more true reading, higher, lower??
