Is Hematocrit of 56% an emergency?
I am due to do therapeutic blood letting tomorrow under the doctor's orders. Wondering if a 56% is an immediate emergency. I was reading online that at high altitude (which I am) hematocrit can reach as high as 62%. Of course the reason why mine is so high is because I am 5 weeks into my cycle. I had to stop the injections this week because of high hematocrit.

You'll live until tomorrow, if that's what you're asking.

Yes, it requires urgent attention.
