Avar and cholesterol.
Not sure about taking the anavar I have purchased now as I have been reading about how badly it effects cholesterol. Anybody have this experience?
Also ways to combat the rise of cholesterol?

I totally understand what you're saying. Just bothered as I can't get bloods ran because of the lockdown situation here in England and Dr won't see me for blood work. I'll stick to the above guidelines given and administer with 1-120mg cyp weekly.

I struggle with cholesterol issues as well. Genetic for me. Taking the correct supps can really make a difference if you're consistent with them.
Personally I love var. You will too. Give it a short run for 6 weeks at a low dose 20-30 mgs. I've run it multiple times recently as an adjunct to healing and feel it even at a low dose of 20 mgs daily.

this is my personal opinion .. not based on facts or science.
I believe the negative impacts on cholesterol numbers from taking oral AAS is just a false negative. . which is why when you come off the AAS the numbers go back to normal fairly quick.
As Kel said , Var is one of the safest AAS on the planet . if it messes with your cholesterol numbers while on it , its my opinion thats just a false negative through some other mechanisms of action going on (which I wish we had more research on).
I would not hesitate to take Var nor worry about cholesterol numbers while taking it

NAC (needs to be a higher dose to help. Think 2400-3600)
Slo Niacin (that's the brand name) 750 mgs at bed time. Endur-Acin would work as well.
Fish Oil
Red Yeast Rice (powder from China) is quite effective as it contains natural statins. Haven't taken it in a while. Tastes like shit.
Another item I have but struggle taking due to it's shit taste is Amla Powder which studies show to be quite effective. I'm hoping to take it all of May prior to some BW and see if it helps.

I'm also on the non-statin Welchol and have been for years. My struggle is with HDL always running low and LDL being somewhat borderline. Total Chol and Triglycerides are great.
I also went and recently had a Cardiac CT for Calcium Score test a month or so ago. insurance doesn't cover it but a script is still needed. It's cheap at about $85 and takes about 10 minutes. It will tell you exactly what's in your arteries leading to your heart. Quite interesting and can be used as a basic guide whether to implement statins or not. I came out better than I ever thought (was expecting the worst) and will wait another year and retest to see how I hold up. I simply wanted to know more of what was going on inside of me than what lipids revealed. And yes, I've done advanced lipo profiles many times before as well.

I'm with Gear on this one. Unless you're permanently cruising, or your levels are genetically terrible (very high or very low), don't sweat them while on cycle (any cycle).
Skewed blood work and lipid panels are a temporary occupational hazard, that is wholly due to cycling, and corrects itself afterwards.
Also as mentioned, Var is about as harsh on your system (cholesterol and otherwise) as taking multi-vitamin/mineral with a dash of an indoloquinolizidine alkaloid like Quebrachine, B.K.A. Yohimbine. Thats good to know, i was only taking 1200mg a day of nac
From what ive read if you get niacin it needs to be the flushing kind for the cholesterol benefits.
I take mine rite before bed, Kinda like when it kicks in while im having sex.

Just taken my first 25mg and feel sick from it. Taken with protein.
My tabs are small round and brown but very crumbly as 50mg each. What's a good way of cutting them without the crumble? As one dose of 50mg daily won't cut it.

4th day at 50mg var and my strength has sky rocketed no exaggeration.
I do alot of kettlbell training aswell as MMA but my strength endurance has shot up and rest needed between sets much lower. Getting big boil spots on lats thought yet skin isn't greasy.
Waking up early and alert even after 5hrs sleep plus shins ache LOL
