I heard this on a guys channel that i follow on youtube. he said that milk thistle produces a layer over the liver that hinders the absorption of oral steroids . What are your guys thoughts on this?

Good question - I have been thinking about this quite a bit, since I take milk thistle like it’s going out of style
I take both, liquid oral & caps

I'm taking Milk Thistle, Taurine & L-Methionine (and some other stuff like Choline Inositol and others but I don't believe they are liver related). I think I am going to have to replace the Milk Thistle with NAC based on what you are saying. NAC is N-Acetyl Cysteine, correct? I wanna make sure I order the right thing. Any MG recommendation?
I was thinking of just sticking with the Milk Thistle until I run out, but after reading about all the potential benefits of NAC I am going to get some. NAC seems to have a lot more health benefits than Milk Thistle in addition to the androgen receptor issue.
NAC benefits listed online:
-Boosts Glutathione Levels Which May Boost Immune Function (NAC, glutamine, and glycine are necessary for the body to make glutathione. I already take glutamine powder)
-May Reduce Heart Disease Risk By Preventing Oxidative Damage
-May Stabilize Blood Sugar By Decreasing Inflammation in Fat Cells
-May Improve Fertility in Both Men and Women
-Boosts Brain Health by Regulating Glutamate and Replenishing Glutathione
-Helps Relieve Symptoms of Respiratory Conditions
-May Improve Psychiatric Disorders and Addictive Behavior
-Helps With Detoxification to Prevent or Diminish Kidney and Liver Damage

I just ordered 3.3lbs of NAC from eBay. I just had time to look up the FDA NAC stuff. So this stuff has been safely used since the 1960s but some greedy people market it as a hangover cure, so now we can't buy it as a health supplement? I guess the FDA likes to throw the baby out with the bath water.
