You people are retarded. There is no eye gouge in that picture. None of Chuck's fingers are inside of Randy's eye. This was already debated on Sherdog... Randy fans just need a reason for their hero's loss. "He slipped!" "He was eye gouged!"

    No.

I am not sure if it was an eye gouge or not....but the picture still makes me sick. I really hated to see Randy loose. At his age, he is not what he used to be and I wished he never would have taken that fight anyway. Chuck Lidell is better than the 42 year old versoin of Randy Couture.

His left index finger is IN Randy's eye up to the first knuckle. Also, how many open palm straight jabs do you see in MMA? Chuck beat Randy without a doubt but it doesn't excuse a cheap gouge like that.

Its hard to say if it was on purpose or not. Also tito ducked into chucks hand rewatch the fight. I dont think Chuck does it on purpose also Chuck has always been clumsy on the mic so I am not sure if he met to be disrespectful or not he did give Randy his time in the octagon so its a tough call the only person that will ever really know if chuck.

Where do you see this?! Do you see the tip of his left index finger touching Randy's eyebrow? How can it be in his eye and outside of it at the same time?

Anyways, that wasn't a strike. He was pushing Randy's face away which is legal as far as I know.

It's always easy to second guess a still shot and they were throwing fast. I'm inclined to believe it was intentional due to Chuck's history of "clumsy" pushes. IMO, Chuck won regardless.

You people need to let go. Randy lost and it had nothing to do with an eyepoke. He got beat by the better man. I love Randy but Chuck is just better than him plain and simple.

Agreed, quit making lame excuses. When Randy beat Chuck there was no excuses. Chuck Fans coulda said well anyone has a punchers chance to win a fight, and Randy got lucky in the first fight. It's all bullshit.

The way Randy won the first fight could never be compared to a punchers chance. Also, when Randy won alot of people said it was becasue Chuck was not in shape.

Mike Tyson lost his last couple of fights in his boxing career. Can you really say that the guys that beat him are better than him? No, you cannot.

Chuck beat Randy because Randy is not in his prime...that is the bottom line. When Randy was in HW and on top of his game you know that he would have beaten Chuck.

So, yes, you are right. Randy lost and it was not because of an eyepoke. And yes, Chuck is better than the 42 year old version of Randy Couture.

Yeah I can really say that the guys that beat tyson in his last fights are better than him. Why? because Tyson lost and they won, hence they are better than him. Chuck beat Randy because he was the better man that night. You can't honestly say that a "prime" randy would beat chuck. Why? Cuz the fight never happened. Chuck has beaten nearly every light heavyweight that Randy has and actually laid out more of them. Chuck also came into that first fight totally unprepared and not in great physical condition. And I dont even like Chuck I wanted Randy to win so i'm not some blind chuck liddell fan.

Well, Randy is not in his prime, obviously. So, Chuck beat Randy when he was over the hill. Would you agree with that?

Thanks. I just hate to see him go out like that. You see it in many athletes careers. Look at Jerry Rice (considered the best WR of all time), he did not even start his last 2 seasons in the NFL. But, in MMA, when you are over the hill, you get beaten badly....alot worse than not catching passes!!

I know that I read somewhere that when you age the first thing (athletic ability) to go is your quickness/agility. This cannot help your takedowns!! I think that one of the last things to go is your absolute strength. I think that Randys skills or whatever it was declined fast. After he dominated Chuck he went on to dominate Tito and Vitor....he dominated all of the light heavys the UFC had....which all 3 were world class guys at the time.

Ignorant statement? What was I lacking knowledge in? I know Couture was an awesome fighter. I meant who cares about Couture in the sense that I wanna see Silva knockout Liddel. Learn to read context. And learn some vocab. Ignorant =
