AA/Silvia III set for July 8...thoughts?
So Dana White has announced that AA/Silvia III will happen at UFC 61, July 8. I personally was quite surprised that it would happen again this soon. That said, I think you'll see AA come out on top in the rubber match. He got sloppy and careless with that right hand from South Alabama he tried to throw, and got KO'd for it. I don't think he'll make that mistake again. I'm curious to hear your opinions on this.
Also, since Tito's knee is tore up, Forrest Griffin has agreed to step up and fight Ken Shamrock. Sounds like an interesting match up to me, especially if they both stand and duke it out. I like Forrest against a past-his-prime Shamrock in a Franklin-esque KO.
Thoughts?
***EDIT*** My bad guys, I got to thinking about the subject and posted before I realized there was already another thread on the subject. Mods feel free to delete.Last edited by Quil; 04-24-2006 at 12:01 PM.

Can't wait for this fight! AA will win! I just walked by the gym he trains on my lunch break and he's already back in the gym. good to see that.

AA should be an animal in the gym the next few months. Hope he's focused this time, and not out partying and getting $3000 suits. He should be a man possessed.

Man I hope Andrei wins the 3rd fight...nothing against Tim but AA just has that excitement about him and Tim, well does not.
As far as Tito vs. Shamrock goes, I really wanted to see them fight again man. I love that hatred they have for each other. I guess Forrest will do, it should be exciting. UFC is definitely on the right track.

I really think we'll find out a lot about AA in this fight. He ran through a few people after beating Sylvia the first time, and started getting a lot of hype...I think he was overconfident about the last fight with Tim, and he paid for it. Now he's embarrassed and humiliated because he was overconfident and got sloppy trying to knock Tim's head off. If I were in his shoes, I would want to leave absolutely no doubt in everyone's eyes who the better fighter is. I see him truly laying the whoop-ass on big Tim in July.

Zuffa truly believes MMA fans are ignorant if he expects people to pay $40 for that shit...i for one refuse to pay for any UFC PPV...with a rare occasion. The last one i opurchased was BJ vs GSP, Franklin vs Louiseau
