It may have been submission grappling instead of mixed martial arts, but Randy Couture's return to competition at the Professional Submission League's X-Mission was highly anticipated.

Unfortunately, his bout with Jacare resulted in an unsavory draw for fans. There were several other exciting bouts, however, that did have definitive endings.

Marcelo Garcia finished highly-ranked mixed martial artist Jake Shields by choke. Former King of the Cage champion Alberto Crane also submitted Joe Camacho. And Mac Danzig secured a choke to finish Alan Zborovsky.

Yes it was boring, Couture is no sub wizard but his great wrestling base helped him survive if he had not been defending subs the entire time he would have been called for stalling. He is just a competitor
