Silva is my favorite fighter and i gotta say he did not look good at all. I dont think he over looked dan he has said for years the first hendo fight was his hardest fight. Its a fact Dan most of the time fights better at 205. However he beat misiki the first time fighting misiki's game. He then lost to Misiki fighting his game. Dan has very very heavy hands, and can deal with tricky strikers, I mean misiki is a very unorthdox fighter. Silva is also unorthodox in striking, his stance, his punching style and most of all his aggresiveness. Dan was just the better man tonight, however I do think silva looked slow.

yeah silva just didnt look right... its a tuff style for silva to fight also cause dan has such good greco skills... when silva clinches like he loves to do dan is comfortable and can get takedowns from there... silva didnt seem like he was lookin for a clinch that much in this fight... but not takin nething away from hendo i know hes mad tuff i been watchin these dudes fight for awhile.... but whats he talkin bout movin up to heavy weight for a 3rd belt??? come on he cant beat fedor!!! shogun better challenge hendo

Yeah, Diaz looked real good, glad to see him do well. Hendo hits like a freakin kick from a mule. I would hate to be on the receiving end of that.

I think 160 is the perfect fit for him. He is soooo tall he will have a huge reach advantage over anyone. Diaz is deffiantly, top 5 after that performance. Also does anyone know why gomi looked so tired? Gomi is a huge 160 pounder could the cut have gotten to him? Either way Gomi will be back most of his life has been a fight uphill.

I in all honestly believe Arona is by far the better fighter between him and silva. He should not have pulled guard in the last minutes of there 2nd fight and he would have won. I had a UD for Arona, but the judges saw it differently. Arona deserves his shot at the title look at what he did to overeem?. Lets see Shogun/Arona 2 to take on henderson.

Wanderlei had a 102 temperature and a throat problem (strep?) the night before the fight. He did not look good at all and being sick sucked alot of conditioning out of him, like him or not..you can look at the fight and see how sluggish he was.

I give him a lot of credit/respect for going out that there and fighting in that condition but thats just stupid IMO. If i were a champion i would fight anyone unless i was 110% healthy and he wasnt. Im sure if thats true thats the main reason he lost, a 102 temp. if pretty bad and even worse if it was strep.

No disrespect meant, but that is why you are not a champion. Stop and think about it, 13,000+ people are there expecting to see the main event, you are the champion and the event is built around you. You get sick the day before the fight and go to the ER. It is not as simple as saying "I'm sick, i cannot fight".

Silva is a "live by the sword, die by the sword" type fighter. He will never disappoint his fans.

Agreed 100% and thats why i say i give hiim credit for it because im sure it was hard for him to step into the ring under those conditions.

its good Silva doesnt say that it affected him and use it as an excuse, but that means that nobody else should use that as an excuse either. Dan was the better man that night and won, next time it could be Silva's night.
