That looked like it popped on the way around to me. So close. Ouch. But that's the folly of armbars...sacrificing position for submission.

yes i know a lot and both fighters looked like shit. the first round was ok and that armbar is not that hard to get out of. it wasnt tight at all. both fieghters looked like shit in the 2nd. very unlike rich franklin. the old franklin would have ended that with a ko. hes not the same fighter he used to be. silva ****ed his head up

Lutter looked good in the first, Franklin looked good in the second. Lutter gassed trying to win in the 1st and Franklin picked him apart in the 2nd. Of course, I'm sure you could do better, but they looked fine to me. It wasn't a boring fight, and both fighters made a concerted effort to win.

i dont know what to think about lutter. the guy comes out strong and gets good position, he just cant seem to capitalize. and his gas tank sucks balls. how can someone talk shit about frankling AND a silva and then come into the fight in the condition he did. *shakes head*

yeah man i thought Lutter would have learned his lesson after getting his ass owned by silva. damn!!! are we gonna see a Silva/Franklin 3??? nobody else seems to be doing anything in that class.

So honestly, I think his technique was a bigger problem than his conditioning. I know a guy who has PHENOMINAL conditioning, but if he goes at 150% for 5 mins, he'll still gas, so he has to pace himself and use efficient techniques.
okami just scored a ko over tanner. id rather see that rematch than see rich get handled again.

henderson vs franklin vs the winner of okami vs silva maybe?

hendo and franklin need to stay away from silva man. lol!!! fighting that dude is a career shortening move.

i disagree man hendo done evrything right in the 1st round against silva just didnt adapt when silva changed gameplan, the mans awsome at adapting to situations
i think hendo should get a 3/4 win streak against guys like franklin okami and then have another shot at him.Maybe learn how to use the cage to his advantage (as a quality wrestler)

Very true, and I hate to have to agree cause he is one of my 2 favorite fighters.
I think Franklin vs. Bisping will be the next good 185 fight. Not sure who will get handed to Silva next. Okami, while a bit boring is the legitimate next in line cause he's beat everyone but franklin.
I wonder if Franklin could move back up to 205+ like the Shamrock and prior fights where he had a lot more power. Here some old slugger footage at 220lbs... http://www.myvideofight.com/video/ot...k/index-3.html
Him vs. Forrest might be fun... but who knows.

I was quit impressed with Luter in the first round he should concentrate on conditioning a lot more.
Good to see Franklin win again
