Yeah Nog will win and Coture really should retire at this point. Some guys just ahve trouble hanging up the gloves but Randy needs to before he gets hurt.

I guess it all depends on what nog shows up. When they were both in their prime i think nog would have beat randy. Nog supposedly had staff against mir but who knows.
I think that this is a great fight and i have wanted to see this match up for some time but i have to go with nog. You can never count out the old man though.

i cant say i am too excited about this fight and in my estimation it could go either way easilly. we all know how quick nog can turn a beatdown into a submission victory and randys takedowns and gnp are pretty reliable so we will have to wait and see.

It could go either way. One thing for sure it is the right fight for both of them at this point.

not is far from washed up. He had one rough fight and now everyone forgets how good he is. His boxing is so underrated. I don't think he can sub Randy but I think he can out box him

well but you have to admit, noone has ever bet against Randy and felt 100% about their bet you know? I mean the guy has had a chance to win almost every fight he has ever been in. You always know he has a chance to win, and not like a any fighter on any given day chance either. A bonifide threat to beat his opponent. Taking nothing form Nog either though. Same deal with him. WIth thier ages and stages I think it is a perfect for them both at this time.

Nog is still relatively young but I know exactly what you mean. The first bet I ever placed on line was Randy vs. Barnett. I lost and have held it against Randy ever since. I was in college and it maxed my credit card! I guess I should see about getting my money back since Josh was on the gear. But you can never count Randy out and it seems the bigger underdog he is the better he does. Look at the Tito fight, the first Chuck fight, and the Sylvia fight. He was supposed to get squashed in all those.

I just think that Randy vs Nog will be very tactical and go the distance. I don't see anyone getting finished unless Nog shows up like he did against Mir. I wish that this was a 5 round fight.

Wow can't call this one, flip a coin. I will say to whoever wants to count out randy, take a look at his last few fights, the man is still a top contender no question. Don't let the gray hair fool you lol

i think randy will come into this fight with a sense of urgency like he's never had before. he knows he only has a few fights left. if he wants to retire as a champion, he can't lose again. i'm taking couture by decision.

^^ I agree on this one, I think Randy will land a big right hand early and just work off that. I would be surprised if randy got sub'd , he would have to be hurt or real tired, to much of a vet for that. Nogs sub's arent as fast as they used to be and loook at how well Hendo back in the day did against Nog. He doesnt have those Fedor hips anymore.

Wrestlers sometimes have a hard time against submission fighters though, and Nog's subs are still pretty good. IMO, it's going to come down to who trains harder, who wants it more, who has the most heart. Neither fighter is clearly dominant over the other

This is a great style match up for Randy. Randy has never struggled against bjj artists. Nogs stand up well fundementally sound lacks that power that has troubled randy in the past. Nog wont take Randy down and Randy will be able to takedown nog at will. It wont be an exciting match but Randy will take a Ud or a split dec at the worst. Randy has struggled against other bigger wrestlers and or power punchers with good takedown defense. This is a great match up for him.

Randy held his own against jacare and even with the size advantage clearly going to randy Jacare is twice the bjj artist that Nog is. Nog has never had good takedowns ever! He is good off his back but he isn't a bj penn who is explosive and quick he is just fundmentally solid. He wont catch Randy in a sub. Mark my words randy will cruise to a 3 round dec.

Nog will expose his lack of defense, just wait...

I gotta agree, Randy used his size to stall Jacare.
