Chuck is done, people have him figured out. Now his jaw is gone I think its time he made it to the commentary booth.

Awesome fight by Shogun but hard not to feel bad for one of the all time greats.

Yeah power is the last thing to go and he still has that. However his reaction time has slowed dramitically(one of the first things to go) and then your jaw goes and his jaw is gone and as you said. It was such a big part of his game. The ability to stand up well taking punishment and take punishment on his feet so he could land that overhand right.

Well theres an upside guys to such a shitty payper view, UFC usualy gives a good free one on TV if one turns out as bad as 97 did.

I hear everyone on the main event but was the whole card really that bad? The Cane fight was amazing and the Shogun fight was great. I personally hate watching Kongo but the Stann Krystoff fight was okay as well and Stout is always tough

He did take him down, but its shogun. I am not impressed by a takedown on shogun. In my opinion with his jaw being gone so is he. Even tho is reaction time has slowed he still could have sat and force people to trade punches, but with no jaw he wont be able to do that. His foot movement improved after the first Randy fight but far from pretty still. I wish Chuck would retire, I wont say he should because I have no right to tell another man when he should hang up his gloves. Anyway back to the takedown. Chuck was about a .500 wrestler at Cal poly and has stated "I won some I shouldnt have lost some I shouldnt have". He is far from a great wrestler. He is a great counter wrestler but guys have so much more confidence now that its not Iron chin chuck anymore. I have always thought highly of chuck but realized when his chin or power left he would not be the same fighter and sure as sh*t his chin is gone and he is not the same fighter.

I wouldn't say it was a particularly good UFC event, but I can't complain too much 'cause it was free. (Thank you isohunt!)
