Davis got robbed two he obviously won two of the rounds BUT he did take the most damage and he loses. (But on a 10 point scoring system he won IMO) Wandy wins two rounds (and the other was a 9.5 either ****in way round) and does the most the damage but loses to Franklin? Were these judges smoking crack?

The former UFC middleweight champion landed 91 out of 192 strikes for 47 percent compared to Silva’s 62 of 199 for 31 percent. CompuStrike also had Franklin landing more power punch/elbow strikes (58) than Silva (35) and more kicks during the 15-minute fight, which was fought mostly on the feet.

Franklin took a unanimous decision on the scorecards, but there has been some disagreement over the call.

    See CompuStrike’s round-by-round breakdown here.

On one viewing, I had all three rounds for Franklin, though I wouldn’t argue for long with someone saying Silva took the second. He hurt Franklin in that period, and for a moment had him engaging in precisely the kind of firefight Silva lives for. But Franklin recovered, and Matt Hume reminded him between rounds to throw two shots and get out of there, two and out. Franklin listened, got back down to the business of circling out after throwing and won the fight.

I thought that Hardy did enough to win as did Silva. God it kills me to see Silva lose fights like these.

yah, but it seemed like a fair call. Silva was looking really sloppy from minute 3 of rd 2 onwards. Yes he pushed the fight, but he was throwing wild haymakers and not landing many. It ended up being predominantly a boxing match and that would have been scored the same way. Decisions always suck.

Bottom line is wandy did the most damage and was the agressor. Yes the agressor of the fight does norm take a lot of shots. But its not the amount of licks landed, its the amount of damage done and the will to end the fight. Not to sit back landing jabs and leg kicks and winning because you had more total strikes landed.

I had it scored 10/9 franklin in the first round only cuz of the slip when tryin to pull guard. Otherwise it was a dead even round so I say franklin squeeked a win that round.

2nd round 10/9 Wandy for sure. Wandy did the most damage. Franklin even admitted that everything went black when wandy hit him and that he was practically out for a moment.

3rd 10/9 wandy pretty close round. Rich may have landed more shots but again you gotta look at the damage. Wandy was knocked down ONE time in that fight. The rest were slips. He was slipping because he was throwing POWER behind his punches. Judges highly over rate take downs imo and think that richs last minute take down is what won him the fight. But a takedown should only score high if it puts you in a dominant position and you are controlling the fight. If the guy quickly works his way back up to his feet that take down should mean very little IMO.

the numbers do the talking for me.
Amount of damage done, tryin hard to end the fight, being the initiator (wandy was constantly coming forward). All things to consider other than who landed the most strikes.

For EX I mean you can get some lanky bastard to stand outside and throw weak ass jabs and leg kicks all fight. Gets the shit beat out of him everytime the other guy gets in close on him. The lanky guys face looks like a pile of hamburger meat but he lands double the amount of strikes while the other stronger hitting guy barely looks damaged at all. You think the guy with most licks landed is the winner? I sure as hell dont. Why encourage people to be *****s?

Hell if i set the judgement rules it would be whoever did the most damage wins. Regardless of amount of strikes landed, takedowns whatever. I hate ***** jabbers that score all their points on weak punches and quick weak leg kicks and I hate wrestlers that just hold a guy on the ground but do no damage to him what so ever. Like the Matt hughes Matt serra fight. Serra ****ed hughes up and then hughes just layed on him the next two rounds to get the win.

This is exactly why I hate the UFC. They claim in the beginning of each match that it will be scored on effective striking, grappling, aggression, and octagon control. Instead they use compustrike to calculate the number of strikes landed/thrown and score the bout digitally like a bunch of fvcking robots. In japan that never happens. They score the ENTIRE bout, and not round by round on 10-point must system. It's not a freaking boxing match.
