Sonnen had no standing game what so ever, the whole 22mins of the fights was almost on ground. That was a an olympic wrestling match not MMA.
Silva would have shredded Sonnen if he kept the game to minimum take downs. But it was obvious that was all what Sonnen trained for. And that ain't no champion preparation
Silva had it all. He have the best standing game, we all know
He took shit load of punches and elbows on ground and didnt give up
Defended himself through 4 rounds being on ground with a WRESTLER not a MMA fighter
    Then he submitted Sonnen's ass.
    Give him a credit bro

What fight did you watch, seemed like Sonnen had the best stand up to me?

22 mins of game plan domination just to make a simple mistake... cant do that against a champion... nice to see he isnt invinceble though.... Sonnen knew he made the mistake and thats why he was so humble in defeat

No, he had luck in the first 20 secs with stand up... as the rounds went on Anderson was doing a lot of damage in the stand up before being taken down. That elbow to Sonnens neck came close to ending it....

watched the fight again, without the slip in the 5th, I am guessing it may have been a very interesting 5th round with Silva standing... he was going to pull some crazy ass attacks out of his bag of tricks

You take it where you good at...Sonnen knwe he had no shot standing, just like Anderson knew he was weak on ground in wrestling match which is why he wanted to stand...either way i would have preffered Sonnen to win, i do not like Anderson, something about him is not right...

anderson was just letting him tier himself out. They train to relax take punches wait it out maybe a round or two then let the opponent fall into something easy with little effort on your side. but i do agree sonnen probably caught him off guard at first. but anderson just had to feal him out not blow his load in the first round.

First of all youi know nothing about MMA ,with a comment like that .second anderson got knocked down twice standing up ,so what are you even talking about?
Chale dominated every aspect of that fight untill he got caught in a sub ,anderson showed a heart of a true champion hanging in there to get that sub.
Listen the M in MMA stands for MIxed and wrestling is one of the arts in the mix .
If you can't defend the takedown or submit guys off your back you don't belong in the sport .

The fight was great I really enjoyed it.

Sonnen game plan was perfect for his style of fighting and he almost pulled it off.

I do believe early in the fight anderson took sonnen little lightly or with not so much respect where he got caught in the stand up.

Then as the rounds progressed the stand started to favour anderson a little more, but the ground game was all sonnen and you have to give full respect to the guy his game plan was almost perfect.

Then on the other side I would have to say I dont know which other fighter could have hanged around so long like anderson without panicking or even getting caught in those four rounds for the fight to be over.

So at end of day it was a great fight and the champion did what he had to do to win but he does have to pay little more respect to opponents.

I agree 100% Anderson has a tendency to underestimate his opponents. Hopefully this fight was an eye opener for him.

Actually I do believe this, during the fight when I was watching with my bro.

I had told him there is something wrong with andersons mid section, because after the first round he went straight to his people and pointed/claimed about the area.

i think anderson is full of shit ..if his ribs were that serious his mangement wouldnt of risked there best p4p fighter in the world loosing because of injury..it is a exscuse for getting his balls beat in for 22 minutes ..
When anderson first came into the ufc he was humble and quiet and just ripping the whole division up .now after he became the p4p champ and defended it a few times, i think his true colors came out and i think chale called him out on it ..he has been putting his hat to the side like he is in a 1990's rap video , direspecting other fighters and he is becomming more and more what this sport try's so hard not to be ..i respect him and he is the best p4p in the world but a good guy he is not..and i loved every friggin minute chale beat the friggin balls off of him i just wish he couldnt finshed and ripped that belt off of him along with that cocky fake attitude of his ...

I just don't like Silva. He talk about how respect if so important to him, but yet he knows English but refuses to speak it to the Media or at pre/post fight interviews. He dances around making a mockery of himself in the cage. I get pissed just thinking about it. Channel has the tools to defeat him, we all saw that in the last fight. Hopefully he won't make the same mistake twice.
