Competitions are judged on all of the above. That's the goal for most. As much mass as you can get packed on your frame and still maintaining nice proportion overall.

I just competed yesterday. Mass wins! I couldn't off been any harder. I am very symetrical and I had my best conditioning of all time. I didn't place in the top 5 out of 18 in the lighheavies. I need more size, plain and simple.

Seems like judges of today prefer mass over anything

for competition mass, for real life depends what your frame is...ectomorphs always look better with symmetry (aesthetics over mass) unfortunately for all the hard work, massively bulky guys look fat with clothes on. better off getting body that looks good in clothes and at the beach.

Well, yesterday was my 3rd and final show for the 2012 season. This time I won my class (8 guys total) even though most of them were at the 198 cut off and I weighed in 191.5. A good combination of everything is what wins shows. Not just size and not just conditioning. I think that is a better answer than the one I gave originally.
