Bodybuilding and tight skin
My abs look fine when stretched but when i contract there is loose skin in the ab area. This is even more pronounced in the last week before competition where the diet and dehydration increases loose skin in the ab area. I am very strict on my diet.
I have tried topical gels, and Radio frequency. The RF provided pretty good results however they are not permenant and do not totally eliminate all of it.
I have also looked into insulin but decided against it based on feedback. I also looked at HGH and am pretty sure that the $ will not allow me to use it long term as recommended.
Someone out there must know something other than surgery. I am going crazy trying to solve this mystery. HELP!

I would try preperation H or vasoburn by matt porter... those might help tighten up your skin....

How lean are you? And how long do you stay that lean after contests? It matters.
How fat do you get in the offseason?

I think that this condition is because i was overweight for about 10 years. I lost 56 lbs for my first competition. There must be some way without surgery..

Staying sub-10% year round.. or at least @10% would help. No real sense going up and down in weight to add just a few pounds, when you can stay lean... consistently add small increases in lean mass, whilst giving the skin time to acclimate and tighten.
Do you use transdermal stuff to help bring circulation to the problem area?

I also learned today that you can buy collogen. Do you think this will help? The RF had good results which increases the collogen.NOTE: i am estimating fat %

The bulk/cut thing is very old school honestly.
You can do shorter cycles of overfeeding and underfeeding... thus retaining more muscle without adding fat.
2 weeks in a caloric surplus. 2 weeks at maintenance or sub-maintenance. OR slowly re-add calories post-contest, and give yourself a longer 'off-season' to add muscle slowly... without accruing a ton of fat.

I've no personal experience with collagen.
But, it's cheap... and couldn't hurt.
I do think you need to stay leaner however.
Just my opinion.

Prep H contains neosynephrine or phenylephrine, both vasoconstrictors. It (supposedly) helps with hemorrhoids by constricting the inflamed, dilated veins in your asshole.
I've heard of guys Saran wrapping their abs with it the night before a show, but there's no reason why it would "tighten up" one's skin.Last edited by Bonaparte; 09-23-2015 at 09:17 PM.

Trying collagen in an effort to minimize loose skin.
