I would mainly Stick with Oats and Yams as they are the least starchy carbs....for PPWO you do want some insulin response however so Brown Rice, White Potatoes, Possibly Wheat Pasta, and Possibly Whole wheat or grain bread are good options. I mention possibly on the pasta and wheat because I am for the most part against overly refined products, even the whole grain ones, but they do work if you dont have anything else available.

if you need a change up, try cream of wheat too. i just bought some a week ago, and its good if your sick of having the same carb source. mine are:
sweet potatos
cream of wheat
oatmeal
brown rice
i cut bread and pasta out all together, i feel its made a large improvement for me!

I remember reading somewhere that something about Cream of Wheat is really counter-productive as a carb source.... dunno where, but anyone else have any incite on this matter?

its slightly higher on the GI than brown rice, potatos, etc., but i dont see how that would be counter productive in a ppwo meal though!

maybe it wouldn't be the best choice for a morning carb source IMO, but i think you want a little more of an insulin spike ppwo, so its should be ok! somebody correct me if i'm wrong
