Brown rice 5 1/2 hours before workout...
If I work out at 4 pm everyday would it be wise for energy purposes if I have 1/2 cup of instant brown rice (42 g of carbs) with my chicken breast for my 10:30 am meal. That gives me 5 1/2 hours to digest this low GI carb before I workout.
My ENTIRE diet is here:

I am not sure if your cutting or not..... but if your cutting that meal is fine for breakfast but that's about it. Other than that your only carb meals are PWO & PPWO.

Ditch the carbs. "Carb-sensitive" people are those who hardly exercise. Not flaming you at all but, like you said you do have a lot of body fat so I'm guessing you are new to the iron game.

Would it be better if I had some oatmeal with my chicken breast instead of brown rice?

Lets say I go with the instant brown rice at 11:30 am. Will that supply me with energy to lift at 4 pm?

Yes that is ample time for the carbs to be ready to be used as energy.

That is probably one of the best diets i've seen on here to cut, due to many reasons:
1. the carbs are placed at the right time
2. when there is no carbs, you've substituted fats to be there...(flax)
3. You've picked right type of carbs, only one thing, i'd substitute the potatoe for a yam instead in you post workout meal. i would also throw in veggies in your early meals, where they have no impact on sugar level, or insulin spiking.

Thanks dv8!
The reason I have a potatoe for my PPWO meal is because I thought it would be wise to have a high GI carb during that time. SwoloeCat recommended that.

Sorry for the late response. Anyways like dv8 said your diet is laid out perfectly. Also eat the potatoe instead of the yam for the insulin spike.
