Lean Mass Diet (sticky)
hey all, i'm looking to switch from my cutting diet to a lean mass in about a month or so. I was looking at the sticky of the lean mass diet and noticed that some meals mix fat and carbs together? Is mixing the two just bad when it comes to a cutting diet or does it apply all the time whether cutting, lean mass, or bulking? please help.... i'm now confused!

thanks,

If it was me.. I would not mix fat and carbs. I would stick to pro/carb and pro/fat meals. I suggest this because you will gain less fat while bulking.

I'm assuming you talking about these meals? (just in case I'm missing something):
5:15 120 gm of steak
20 gm of whey protein
Mustard
50 gm of carrots
5 ml of flax seed oil
1 HOUR TRAINING START 6:00PM to 7:00PM
7:15 60 gm of whey
5 rice cakes (caramel flavored)
1 apple
2.5 ml of flaxseed oil

First offering I'd nix the carrots, hate em anyway, and I'd never have a second meal like that ever, so it doesn't apply.
Dependent upon the cut of steak, the flax oil may be better served at another time as well.

yeah those were some of the meals i was referring too. some of the other meals as well combine fats and carbs.
ie.
12:45 8 eggs & green onion & light mayo (makes an egg salad)
3 pieces of whole-wheat bread w/ ham
1 banana
15 gm of whey protein
1 yogurt
9:30 125 gm of cottage cheese
15 gm of whey protein
1 no sugar added fat free yogurt
so a question is , would a diet consisting of pro/carb and pro/fat combinations be a more ideal diet for gaining lean mass? such as
5-6 meals per day, (3 pro/carb, 2-3 pro/fat)
I.E.
meal 1. pro/carb
m2 pro/fat
m3 pro/fat
workout
m4 pro/carb
m5 pro/carb
m6 pro/fat
?????
aLSO: swole --> you would nix the carrots because their high glycemic????
thanks fellas.

thanks for the responses...
Dalcowbag --> it was for the lean mass diet not the "bulking diet". I've read the lean mass diet sticky too. Would I still switch meals 3 and 5 for the LEAN mass diet????
thanks man,
