    Supplements/Vitamins should I be taking?

OK, guys/gals, going thru the "fat loss" ordeal and so far so good......increase activity and trying to stick to a 1200-1300 cal p/day diet...question is, any supplements/vitamins I should be taking to "help" promote fat loss and or muscle growth? Hitting both cardio and lifting and eating really clean foods (chicken, veggies, fruits, water).....note: I am using a EC stack to help drive the appetite suppression so anything I take, wanna make sure its ok to take along with this.......this EC stack is a life saver for myself...thanks in advance

Well just keep in mind that I feel that I have at around 60-70 lbs of crap fat on me right now that Im trying to lose, and PLEASE correct me if Im wrong, but Im eating a fair amount of protein and drinking my shakes......I guess the way I look at it, once I get down to a tolerable weight, somewhere around the 220 mark, then I'll increase my calories and start to dwindle the fat off at a much slower pace.....Its a sacrifice I know, but Ive always been fortunate to be able to add strength/muscle and sadly FAT a little better than the average guy, I THINK ???....

*Diet (and like I said, I know that its not a all-out cutting one, but its one that I CAN STICK with and have seen results and for me, its all about being able to stick with it and see the results

    Breakfast
    *Egg/Cheese/Chicken Burrito

    Mid-Morning
    *Handful of peanuts
    1-2 Apples
    Protein shake

    Lunch
*Chicken/Turkey based meal, with 2 serv of veggies (typical rest. serving)
Serving of fruit (usually another apple or fruit cup)

    Mid-Afternoon
    *Beef Jerky, few pcs.
Maybe a handful of peanuts (depends on how the day is going at the office,
Im a muncher and running out of pen tops and straws)
    Another Protein shake

    Dinner
    *Same as Lunch,

I try to eat this somewhere around 6-7pm and nothing afterwards, but if I have to "snack", a cpl cubes of cheese and a kids cup of skim milk

*Cardio consists of walking at a local track and/or playing kickball with the kids for about 45 mins
*Lifting, I usually just try and hit the large muscle groups and then the smaller ones, I do this at home, with go old free weights and a flat bench, nothing special at this point

I guess the main problem I have is, that I have always train to failure and know no other way...consuming this little, made it very exhausting at first as it should, but have scaled that back to a more high rep training...for some reason I getting a "leaner" feeling after a high rep workout than a failure......but this is, I know, just a mental thing, but isnt retraining your eating habits a mental thing ??

Any suggestions and comments, other than "you dumbass", would be greatly appreciated, just keep in mind that right now, my main focus is to lose fat, and I know that a little muscle will go with it and have accepted this

    Thanks again

wow, i suggested my 160 pound mom get on a diet of about 1500 calories, your about 260 and you are eating 1300!?!?!? Thats going to sabatoge your efforts. Your body will catabolize muscle, with diminished muscle mass your metabolism will slow down. I think you could still get dramatic results with 2200 calories a day, you don't want to lose the weight too fast. Rapid weight loss often is followed by rapid weight gain. with 60 pounds or so to lose, give yourself 6 months or so. this gradual rate of fat loss will more likely result in permanent loss.

Well me and the wife sat down and took a closer look at my eating habits and I think Im more around the 16-1800 cal p/day which is still "lean" but a lot better then 1200......but my goal is 6-8 mnths for a loss of 50-60 lbs as I would be happy to drop 7-9 lbs a month....thanks for the input......
