    Spicy foods, hidden qualities?

I've heard that eating a lot of spicy foods (Red curry chicken e.g) can help your metabolism run faster, thus burning more cal's etc. This can't be true, can it?

I've also heard that spicy foods are helpful to your immune system..?

I guess it would be in the spice itself and not the food these myths would be pertaining to (curry, hot sauce, chili peppers).

ive heard this too as well as garlic being beneficial for lowering cholestoral. IMO the amount your metabolism will speed up will be minimal compared to if you are on point with diet and cardio.
