? BF%. I have been on a low calorie diet for a while, and found out that is not the way to go, if you want to keep muscle mass. So, after alot of reasearch I think I have come up with a pretty good diet. Tell me what you think. This will be my daily routine.

151 cals, 2.3g fat, 27.6g pro, 7g carbs
meal 4
3:30 pm- 1 Chicken breast (3.9 oz.)
1/2 cup of turnip greens
145 cals., 2g fat, 27g pro, 4g carbs

5 g of glutamine
Total - 1866 calories, 43.2g fat, 222.5g protein,106.2g carbs
I workout 3-4 times a week for about 1 hour on a different muscle group each day. I will try to get a pic posted.Last edited by Tommy12; 05-11-2006 at 04:13 PM.

I was on a 1500 calorie diet, except I was not watching my intake of fat, protein,or carbs. I was eating whatever I wanted just as long as I stayed under 1500 calories for a day. I know,it not the best diet, but hey I am new to this and learning is all part of the game.

Ya 1500 is very low. To get an idea on how much calories u need to take in a day to lose weight, you might want to do a google search of the "harris benadict equation" it will tell you the correct amount based on your weihgt, height, age, and activty levels. I personally think it is alittle over estimiated but it will give u a pretty good idea. Hope this helps. Peace

try and figure out your LBM (lean body mass). so try and figure your bf% i might be off but it looks to be 20% maybe. so tailor a cutting diet based on your LBM. keep protein at about 1.5g per pound of LBM or slightly higher. and with that being said i think your cals are pretty darn close to what you are wanting. just centralize carbs around your workout if that is the route you are choosing and you should see results. how many days are you doing cardio and training? good luck bro. i acknowledge your dedication to getting something started. you've got a fan.

Thanks Nova, I am doing cardio 5-6 days a week. If I can get my midsection to look like yours I will be extremely satisfied.

I would like to cut until I reach 7 or 8 % bf. Is that even healthy to cut more than a couple months at a time? If so, I will cut until I reach my goal and then maintain.

you can cut for a long time, but you will need to make modifications as you go. mainly increasing some EFA's since you incorporate them well. umm maybe look into cutting supps like ECA/ECY and those kinds of fat burners. do some research and PM me if u have any questions. i think you can, and will, do it man.
