frying fish with olive oil?
how bad is frying fish with a tablespoon of olive oil like twice a week? I know baking is better but I don't like the taste of baked fish. On the grill is good but takes too long with charcoal.

When you heat up olive oil, it turns into a trans fat. There are multiple problems with too much of this in the diet including raising LDL, lowering HDL (the increase in ratio of the two is double that due to saturated fat). This poses many risks such as coronary heart disease. I would say depending on your goals/lifestyle, use at your own discression. Personally, I would avoid it whenever possible regardless of it's effect on the physique.
I would say if you like the taste, apply it once it's done cooking (use something like Pam) OR get a gas grill.

I believe it also destroys some of the essential fatty acids as well, thus making it even less desireable. Sorry to rain on your parade
