Upped my fat intake and lost energy, whats the deal?
Every time I raise my fat to 14-16 grams with protein meals I lose energy and flatten out. When I have only 4-6 grams of fat with protein meals I have tons of energy and my muscles stay full. My strength also goes through the roof when I keep my fat down, what to do?
example:
Yesterday after cardio had whey/flax~50P, 16 F: Felt like crap
Today had whey only with the fat already in it~ 50P, 6 F: Felt great

carbs and protein are the only ones that can be converted to glucose

Protein tranfers at around 54% to glucose, fat at 10% and carbs at 100%.

Has this happened that one day, or does this happen all the time. What I mean is, have you done this enough times (consciously to see what happens) to factor out the "coincidence" aspect of the situation?

I have done this for a while. I lost olmost 100 pounds from the year 2000-2001 with high protein, low fat and moderate carbs surrounding workouts. The past few years I have incorporated fat with protein and feel like S#*! all day, very lethargic. I have been up to 4 weeks with P/F only meals and 2 PWO carb meals and felt ok but VERY flat and tired.
I could eat only 1500 calories a day with low fat, high protein and feel better than eating 2500 calories of P/F, not sure what to do.
I do get 30-35 grams of fat a day, it is not like I am on 0 fat. The wehy shakes have 5-6 and when I eat chicken or egg whites I will throw in a fw fiosh oil or a pice of cheese in the eggs.
Help me Swole, you are the fitness Yoda.

i fi don't eat my carbs, i lose my good mood and high energy level. without them i flatten out as well. maybe try using lower GI carbs and increasing your carbs and lowering your fats...just to see how you respond.
and congratulations on the weightloss, that is amazing and you should be very proud.
