Carb/Fat Separation Question
if youre eating a pro/carb meal its obviously very hard to completely eliminate fats entirely from the meal.. likewise if youre eating a pro/fat meal its very hard to get rid of all carbs. hypothetically, youre eating a pro/carb meal and you choose 90% lean ground beef as your protein source. you want at least 5oz. of the meat but then realize that that provides you with roughly 15g of fat for the meal. is 15g fat more than your limit for a pro/carb meal? in fact, what exactly would you limit your fats to in a pro/carb meal, and your carbs to in a pro/fat meal? if you were to use this protein source in a pro/carb meal, would you then limit your fat intake one of your pro/fat meals to balance your macros for the day? would you ever actually eat 90% lean beef with carbs in a meal?
thanks.

i would choose a different protein source for those meals. egg whites or chicken have little to no fat. if you wanted to really try and seperate these meals these sources could allow you to do that.

i think tuna (in water) also has good protein with very little fat... i usually use just egg whites and chicken breasts though.

Id say below 10grams and your good to go. 90% lean beef is NOT a good option for a pro/carb meal. Chicken breasts, tuna, cod is better choise.
Like swole said its very easy to separate.
