    Flaxseed Oil promotes Prostate Growth?

I was told by a certified nutritionist that flax has been known to promote Prostate growth in men. She recommends it for women but says men should look to other alternatives for essential fats. Anyone have any input on this?

heres a good article, i dont have time to read it now but from just skimming over it i think for now i will hold off on the flax oil.

i didnt know flax oil is ALA...is this the same stuff im taking when i take R-ALA?

looks like fish oil is the way to go for EFAs for now

Looks like a valid finding -- I think it's important to let everyone know that the risk is there.

Flax oil is not the same as ALA. There is an ***** fatty acid called ALA, but it stands for Alpha Linoleic Acid.

The ALA in r-ALA is Alpha Lipoic Acid.

I thought that too at first

considering that the dude writing that has significant financial interest in bashing flax in favor of UDO's oil I would be sceptical.

also note that he recomends the use of flax oil in combination with a ***** 6 supplement. But we get enough ***** 6 from our daily diets so that is not a concern. Most people get TO much ***** 6 in relation to ***** 3.
