    FLEX Aug 2006 "GH Diet"

In this issue of Flex, they present a diet plan that involves a higher intake diet on workout days and a "starvation" diet on non-workout days where you consume between 200-300g of protein, but hardly any carbs and fat.

My question is, even though you are consuming enough protein on non-workout days, is this really healthy and effective for building lean mass? It seems like it would be a constant battle with catabolism...

lets just call it what it is, a cutting diet, WTF is a GH diet? Your not going to grow from that low carbs and fats. And the GH diet that I know is the one where your taking GH, and thus you can get away w/ eating calories that are above maintenance level and still become cut up, you can even eat a pizza every night and stay lean when your on enough.

    HAHA!

I'm following the basic form of the diet as far as higher intake on workout days, working out every other day, and keeping carbs and fat EXTEMELY low on off days, but I added more protein to the off days. Now, a typical off day for me, looks like:

    1727 cals, 320.5g, protein, 41g carbs, 17.5g fat (eating every 3 hours)

While a typical workout day looks like:

    4372 cals, 436g protein, 452g carbs, 80.5g fat (eating every 2 hours)

By the way, I weigh 205lb.
