    morning shakes

if i need to start working out at 5 am and be at work at 730am I need to eat fast b4 and after my training. problem is i cant eat at 5 am i ALWAYS puke i have a bad stomach ulcer, bad acid reflux and a hidal hernia so i dont get to where i can eat solid food until 7am. would it be so bad to just drink a cytogainer shake before and immediatly after my workout then wait an hour and eat a real meal. all the rest of my meals will be food except right b4 bed i will drink a flax/protien shake

not really no. Make a shake with some oats or something to get you moving....shouldn't be much of a problem...I'm cutting right now, and when I oversleep, I'll drink a shake instead of making egg whites in the morning.

    No problem whatsoever doing that.

Eating a solid meal that close before a workout is a waste anyway. A shake is much better suited for that.

I would recommend training later after you have a few meals in your system. I can't train as hard with only 1 meal shortly before lifting.

wierd. Im always the most energetic if I hit the weights first thing in the morning. Just like Ahnold baby while Im dead slow if I workout after a few meals.

Goes to show how different we all are.

I dont see a problem with that, its pretty much what I do... except I'm a diabetic so I need to get the oats in me first so I dont have "issues" with my blood sugar. Sometimes a shake with oats in it is all I need to get going. As long as you make sure to get a good PWO shake and good PPWO meal, I say you should be good with that plan.

I have almost completly cut out shakes, I only use them in emergency situations. I have had so much better results eating whole foods for every meal instead of a liquid shake.
