How important are Green Veggies?
Im 23 and weigh about 200 pounds. I have been on a bulking diet for around 2 months or so and have noticed some results. Ultimately my goal is to reach around 230-235 then cut down to 220. I have done a cycle once before but not currently on one. I have a high metabolism so its fairly hard for me to put on weight. I do eat around 6-7 meals spread through out the day. I eat lots of oats, rice, pasta, potatos, chicken, fish, eggs.. and so on... Of course just like everyone else every so often I have to give in and go to Wendys on my lunch break!
Every now and then ill have a salad with some chicken or fish on it, but most of the time I dont many vegtables throughout the day. Just in one meal around lunch time. Usually just eat, pasta/shrimp, brown rice w/ chicken/tuna..and such.. How important are green vegtables? Am I eating enough vegtables to obtain my goals? Keep in mind that I am trying to put on as much weight as possible! Obviously once i reach my desired weight ill have to trade in some of those pro/carb meals for veggies to cut. Thanks for the info guys.

3-5 servings of gree veggies is average. If you eat a lot of red meat the more veggies the better, they will help process that meat. Can't get too much.

Wow, so am I actually holding myself back by substituting complex carbs for all these veggies that I should be eating?

Don't count the carbs in the veggies, as they do not have any effect on blood sugar or anything else. Eat them along with the usual food

veggies wont make much of a difference to gains unless you are deficient in some mineral or vitamin. But it will do a whole lot for long term health.

Yep, red meat will actually sit in your intestines and rot, considering you're on a high protein/carb diet you're lacking fiber to help everything move along your intestinal track.
They are a must in my diet year-round. At least 2cups/day.

Red meat will not rot unless you have alot of high fat meat, that whole urban myth about John Wayne having 10 lbs of beef in him when he dies is BS. Anyway a good way to suppliment this is by drinking a drink called Green Machine or an equivilant, it is a blend of Veggies and fruit but mostly green veggies and will suppliment your veggie need with one serving a day, I drink an 8 oz glass with my tuna meal every day and it works wonders.

I feel so much better when veggies are in my diet. You should eat raw and cooked, raw has the live enzimes in it and more vitam.
