    Pro/carb pro/fat placement.

I've recently made the move to get back into the gym and I am trying to build a solid diet to go along with my weight lifting. In the past I was on a eat everything diet whether it was healthy or not as long as it had some amount of protein in it. I've been reading alot about the pro/carbs pro/fats and I have a basic understanding. Correct me if I'm wrong but you need a pro carb meal before workout for energy and after to replenish.

Yes and no....if bulking I'll have a pro/carb meal preworkout...if dieting I have a pro/fat meal prior....always you want your pwo shake pro/dextrose and followed by your pwo meal pro/carb.

    You are correct.

Ideally the pre workout is a mixture of solid food and a shake. And Immeadiately PWO, you ingest a shake, then you can follow with whole foods.
