Bmr
Ok ... something I don't understand ... if my BMR is 2290 .... why am I consuming 2500 calories?

Because "BMR" is rarely accurate and is way too broad of a formula to apply to anyone, it's a wild guess and gives you a base to work off of.

BMR stands for Basil and your typically more active then just sitting laying around on your bed. Typically multiply it by 1.3, but again it depends on how active you are. Trial and error from there

That's what throws me off...the 1.3 1.5 etc.....say you train 5 days a week but have an office job where you sit for 10 hours pre......thats not taken into account?

Its really hard to tell, there are alot of confounds that come into play when getting into great detail. For example, metabolism no formula will be able to calculate it. So like I B D said, its a formula to give you an example and work off of that. Keep a log for about a month and track progress and adjust from there.
