Work getting bitchy about meals, need help
I'm starting to get some grief about eating multiple times during the day while at work. I'm trying to drop weight and body fat. I going for 2500 calories a day with 5 meals. This means I've been eating 3 time during the workday. None are long meals, but it does seem like I am always at the microwave heating up a chicken breast. I also usually have a protein shake around 11.
Any suggestions for when they tell me I have a lunch "hour" and to stick to it?

Dont you get a 15 min break every 2 hours??? Most places if you work 8 hour day your required by law to have 15 min every 2 hours consecutive you work and atleast 30min for lunch for every 8 hours worked. Ill look for it on the net, but I know when I worked in a factory thats how it was because they didn't want to get into trouble with the law.

Ha Ha your a high paid professional and you can't even get 5 min to make some food, Gotta suck dude. I don't know what to tell you? Im sure you have an office, try to eat the chicken breast cold, or make food you dont have to heat up. Otherwise talk to someone above you and get into the whole thing about you being healthy will lower there insurance premiums because you will have less claims and things like that. Otherwise, your SOL man?

What kind of foods do you suggest? I could supplement with Protein bars and stuff like that, but it isn't as good and they all seem to have a ton of carbs in them. I figure somebody else has this problem and has found a solution. Anything else I could eat sitting at my desk?

dont get protien bars, those have tons of sugar in them most arent good for you, A good Meal replacement is 1 cup oatmeal, 1-2 scoops whey and some pnutbutter in a shaker. there are tons of MRP drinks on this site just search MRP or meal replacement

wrap chicken in foil and eat cold/room temp.
pre-shell hard boiled eggs, those go down fast.
the oatmeal pb pro works good too.
you'll figure it out just have to think outside the box. Put all that fancy lawyer learnin to gud use.

I eat most my meals cold for quickness/convenience. Rather than heating it up, I'd just cut up chicken breast and eat them (kinda like eating potato chips). I do that sometimes when in class. Also, if you look on the net, I've seen good recipes for making your own protein bars. I'll see if I can find the link.

cook the chicken in the morning and tupperware it up. Then eat cold during the day when no one is looking. I would hate it if my boss gave me grief... no wait I am the boss!

I am in the exact same boat bro. At first everyone gave me sh!t. I learned to just choke the stuff down cold when there wasn't a window of opportunity to heat it up. I would also heat my first whole food meal up at home and bring it with me to work where I would eat it luke warm an hour later. Eat fast, chewing is optional! Now everyone thinks it a funny that I eat at 8:30, 11:30, 1:30, and 4PM. I know what you mean though, it seems like your always at the freakin' microwave.

If you are a valuable employee to your company then don't worry about it otherwise you may just be giving someone at your office a reason to dislike you more.

Basically your productivity levels increases while your health increases. Taking 3 small breaks which equal up to a 30 min lunch is acceptable.
I do this at my work. I dont take an actual lunch break. I work all day long and I take my meals with me to my desk and eat while I work. I dont eat while with clients, but any other time is fair game.
Would it be acceptable if you were a smoker and took 10 smoking breaks per day along with your lunch?
Tell the assholes who are talking shit to mind their business. If they were being more productive instead of wasting time watching you heating up food at the breakroom or bitching about it amoungst themselves, they would be getting that much more done.abstrack@protonmail.com

do you have an office? SO what your saying is you have 3 meals during work.. one is a protein drink . 1 is at your lunch time and the they're complaining about you going in mid afternoon to heat up some chicken... if this is real ... Call an attorney ... there may be some legal case against your Law Firm for harassment..

Why don't you eat the chicken cold.? That way you will not be seen standing at the microwave every 2 hrs.

I think we got it worked out. It was a secretary bitching to my boss. He felt obligated to find out what was going on. He is an ex Marine Corp drill Sgt. Still runs and is very into fitness. He actually leaves during the day to run, but said I don't get that luxury until my name is on the door.
I did pick up some whey protein and am doing it after running and then again before lunch. Is can chicken any different than chicken breasts?

I was running into the same issue at my old job. Luckily I work from home now, but I substituted my midmorning and midafternoon meals with Myoplex or Musclemilk. Not sure how some of the more experienced guys on here feel about the MRP's but I think it's better than not being able to eat at all during those hours.

Just have to find some "creative" ways to spice it up for better taste. The canned chicken I eat is pretty dry and bland. I normally make a chicken salad of sorts with mine.
I take no fat mayo and some almond slices and alittle apple and grapes and chop them up and mix it all together. Mmmmm Goood
